That’s exactly what I did after the Mavtv plus fiasco.

The picture quality is great and the sound is in sync. Unlimited recordings too so I won’t miss a race.

Plus this week we actually got to watch the qualifying show.

Are we just going to ignore the fact they went to ads with 2 minutes to go in the second 450 moto? How about the decision to change feeds to Anderson 50 seconds back when Chase and Eli are about to discuss their moto?
I must not know anything about moto compared to Bondo, because I would have made entirely different production decisions.
ML, you got DC to do an interview regarding the streaming fiasco, how about SOMEONE get some real answers on why he continues to go with a producer who is UNANIMOUSLY disliked for his work?

FWIW the moto replays are up and streaming with good quality on my Apple TV using the Flo app.

Also when you go to watch the replays you will first be presented with the thumbnail for the press conference with the podium.

Giant joke this year I hope Feld and Monster buy the series.

I’m not buying Flo…. I went back to calling 1 -900Collect or just checking in here to see if it was Tomac or Sexton that won

Not cool to throw hate at DC. I think he's doing the best he can with an unfortunate turn of events this year. Not saying he's "golden" either....the total lack of acknowledgement that Bondo is an idiot. WTF is with that. The production is a joke no matter the platform or series because of Bondo.

I keep saying it in these threads. Not a chance i'm paying to watch these races with the shit show being provided. Commercials and stupid content superseding the actual racing. Losing huge chunks of key racing is just unacceptable.

I log off from Vital after timed qualifying (which is bootlegged) and tune out of any moto news for the day. Go out and ride or do something fun. Come home, look up the boot leg motos on Youtube. Fast forward thru the bullshit.

A lot less stress.

Here is what I was out doing during the live racing today.

Boot leg shit has been working great on you tube. Just stay off your social media all day and wait a couple hours after the motos and watch it all for free. Dont give these assholes anymore money.

I mean unfortunately davy is the main guy at mx sports and he did feed us a crock of shit at the beginning of the year. I feel mav could of looked at past numbers and realized the amount viewers they would get and actually been prepared. The fact they havent just opened up the races to be broadcast live for free on Facebook or youtube to make up to the loyal fans that feel screwed over and out alot of money. The fact commercials are apart of a paid subscription is bullshit. There is just alot of things that have been missed and davy could easily fix this by just biting the bullet and offer free streaming on a functional platform

Yes...I remember the "it's going to be great" speech too. I do think he was blind-sided and has been scrambling ever since. ....but I'm a "nobody" and don't know him personally so who knows.

It's truly terrible. This has to be hands-down the worst sports broadcast in the last decade.

It was not 720p, not even 480p, if it was either the framerate for sure dropped below 20fps a lot and the bitrate was sooo low that even when the picture was still there was not enough videodata to give a clear picture.

There has NOT been this bad video cameras for sale since at least 2010.... but as was said on a podcast, whiskey, pulp, vital? (can't remember) they said that it's a daunting task to lay fiber network around the track... I'm not expert, but maybe it's so that the camera network (servers/routers/streaming equipment) is so old (they couldn't afford better this year) so we are basically seeing Flo coverage with TV equipment that is 15years old???

There cannot be any other excuse than money... they couldn't afford better.

(and for those who say, but it's good on my 65" Roku Samsung XYZ.... you have bad eye sight, it's technically impossible)

The reason the commcercials and graphics that are layed over the stream (leaderboard etc) is of much better quality is since it's layed/added in the last phase... My guess is that the TV/Video equipment (computers, not the actual video cameras) are old/sh*t/poor and this is the best they can do.... OR, someone else f*cked up the financials and they just got server bandwith for 240p 10fps Wink

Tried to watch the replay last night but it’s an exact copy of the live version. Same blackouts and jittery frame rate. I can’t watch it. I guess I’m skipping washougal this year unless they get an original copy uploaded for the replay. That’s a first for me in probably 17 years. Seen every race live if not by next day at least.

$150 usd for 5 events? Hmm

Yeah I e mailed and canceled for $150 for 4-5 rounds I’ll watch it at a bar/restaurant and pay the same amount.

The best thing about Flo is that in addition to MX, you get access to all of the Flo Sports catalog, so you can watch cheerleading, amateur grappling, minor league field hockey, and the Professional Croquet League. All for the low price of $12.50 a month (when paid yearly).

I went through that shithole of a company a few hours ago for cycling coverage. Never again.

Watching on Roku and, again this week, the audio is still 30+ seconds behind. Also the quality is set to 1080 but appears to actually be 320. Getting the black outs, too. In fact we missed the start of 250s moto 1 due to a black out.

EDIT: Did receive this back from support:
We are sorry to hear about this. We are aware of the technical issues and our production team has been working through them today.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you,
FloSports Support

I’m experiencing the exact same thing with Flo on Roku. It’s unreal that this is such a big deal in 2022. Figured we’d have this shot figured out by now.

MAVTV plus was actually better for me than the FLO feed. I couldn't believe how bad it was and my whole 20 year plus career has been in film and video production. I will never give FLO anymore of my money. How could it actually get worse by moving to FLO? LOL

btw, Supercrosslive.tv feed (for international) was pretty bad was it 2-3years ago for the first 1-2 races, it was badly interlaced, low bandwith but they improved rapidly, by the 2nd-3rd race the supercross feed was much better. I can't say for sure if it was '20 or '21 season but regardless it started bad but they improved the video quality very quickly.

Now.. if it's about fiber network, that it's not doable with wireless, then I get... it's much more costly around a track than in a stadium... ( then again, with todays wireless technologies it shouldn't be a problem, that is, if you are using modern equipment ).

Speculating, guessing, of course...what do I know.

I can not accept that bass fishing and darts get better coverage than pro motocross. Are we really so insignificant? I know it’s niche but motocross should be big enough to get reliable coverage for its viewers.

Careful now - they'll lock this thread up too. Nothing will happen this year, they'll ride it out and ignore our complaints I think. There are probably contractual obligations in place (with regards to ads) for which people are being paid handsomely I am sure. They aint gonna take a hit to the wallet for us - end of story. What happens next year? Lets wait and see - but they powers that be dont seem to care too much.

I definitely feel there is a larger audience of people willing to pay for a subscription for SX/MX.

I don’t think we are a niche as we think.

And also, content providers are tripping over themselves trying to signup up exclusive content for their platform.

You only hear "we're a niche sport" when something like this happens and the powers that be need an excuse. Any other time they talk out of the other side of their mouths and tell us the sport is growing. It's all BS and sad fact is "they" know we'll keep coming back to races and paying for live coverage and buying their t-shirts at races etc. If you really look at it through a microscope we're all peasants to them.

Doing the best he can? He sold us a bunch of crap...then he does an apology interview with ML512 wearing a beer shirt and his hair looked like he just rinsed off with bong water. You think NBC/Peacock or whoever is taking the guy with crazy hair and a coors shirt on seriously?

I didn't just cancel FLO, I canceled RacerX too. I will not give my money to deceptive, unprofessional people who deliver a lackluster product.

It seems we are a bigger crowd than just a "niche sport". We brought down two streaming services because they can't handle the demand for the large number of connections to their live stream servers from our little "niche" group.

If our group of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross fans with money to spend on a streaming service is as large as I suspect, there is money to be made by giving us a quality service with great production. Personally, I would pay $200 for a quality stream and production for the outdoor season with no commercials or other BS fluff during the motos. Do you guys hear that? No commercials or useless fluff pieces during the motos!

Davey, are you listening? Give us what we are asking for. Charge us more but give us what we want before you lose us forever. With me, you've got until next season. If next season is just more of this current crap, I'm done and gone until a new organization fixes the mess.

anger management much?

Did you actually read my post after the first 2 sentences? Never said DC is without fault, he made promises, bad shit happened, adjustment made, more bad shit happens. At this point, it appears he's doing what he can with what options are available. This season is toast....forward thinking is the name of the game now. Hopefully he's taking into account what the core fans are saying in all these threads.

The whole thing sucks....no doubt.

Sorry , agree with everything you mentioned...but absolutely no way I'd pay $200.00 to watch one season of outdoor mx coverage on a streaming service.

I'm looking at it this way. I pay $65 just to get a regular ticket to my local event, Hangtown. It would be worth it to me to pay $200 for the other 11 events if it was a great production and a top-quality stream. I'd like a 4K stream by the way, Davey.
