One team left to sign. Everything about the drip feed suggests it would be a team/factory we're all familiar with.

Thus far the Japanese manufacturers are fairly well represented.

For me the question is which Austrian team gets the spot?

Cooper Webb seems to have the deck stacked for him to be part of the series going forward also.

Who ya got?

Everything I’ve heard as of late states KTM won’t be allowing any of their factory contracted riders to race in this series. One such source is one of the highest up guys there on the US side…so I’d say it’s unlikely we see him there.

The tenth team is rumored to be a new effort with a backer out of Indonesia.

Lastly, I think you’ll see all the MDK riders on an Austrian brand.

Wouldn't such a mandate violate the riders' statuses as independent contractors?

No, the other party is simply choosing to not contract them

No. Under these contracts, the rider is agreeing to typically only race for that team in events agreed upon in the contract or additional events agreed upon by both parties. It usually locks you into only racing for and representing that team during the length of said contract.

Just curious … what are the chances that riders start signing short term contracts ? For example someone like Roczen signing onto a WSX ride for the length of the series only , then signing for an AMA SX season or a Nationals season etc . Maybe not the top guys doing this but could we see it for second tier riders ?
