Qualifying top 7 in 250s on a used basically stock bike with factory iron as deep as 16th, pitting out of a rental car and EZ Up with a cooler and lawn chair?! Does Ty have any motor mods done to the used dealer bike he’s racing, or just a pipe? I’m imagining not. How about suspension, did I hear he just recently got some help / suggestions with settings or was it a revalve?

He has proven his potential. Him and his family have paid their dues - The ultimate dues.

Someone give this guy a chance already!

I'm guilty of having to try a nice set up sometimes at the races but kind of funny he can pit out of rental car and get top 10 in practice and then you have Little Johnny's dad thinking he needs a semi to succeed on Peewee mod class at an Oklahoma local race lol.

SMS Racing out of Mckinney, TX does his suspension. No idea on the motor work, if there is any?

You know he rode for star racing right? Then I believe aje. He was on aeo and was either fired or quit that team. He’s had chances…just chooses to do his own thing it seems, or is difficult to work with.

Imagine signing with the best team in the 250 class and not listening to anything they tell you to do. Then having another opportunity and not doing what you’re told. Crazy

I don't wanna comment on his situation as I know nothing about it, but as said he has had a few solid 'chances'.

Pretty remarkable talent doing what he's doing, with what he currently has available to him, whatever way you swing it though.

Can’t believe KTM wouldn’t at least provide a bike for him as their 250 program has been less than stellar the last 3 years. His family and him must’ve did something to be treated this way, right?

Could it be his politics and beliefs? And making them public?

Ty posted some pro Trump and American flag stuff back around election time. I saw it, respected it and became a fan of his for speaking his beliefs at the height of cancel culture. It took some courage, but I couldn’t help but think he was probably toast with his sponsors.

If this is the case it’s BS in a big way.

Ty’s a monster. Kid can flick the bike around so we’ll for being as small as he is. Pretty cool to see a Tx kid killin it on inferior equipment to his competition 🤘🏽

Doubt it. McElrath and Forkner still have rides.

It has absolutely nothing to do with his beliefs.

Ty is a great, talented racer, but he needs to be more consistent with his finishes and needs to avoid constant down time due to injury.

I love Jerry, he is good dad and puts out everything for his son, but maybe it's time Ty tries an alternate approach to training. He also may need a manager or agent who gets along better with the guys who give out the contracts in this industry.

Being isolated in Texas may not be the best thing to advance his talent or his technique.

Several guys with amazing talent have stuck with their family for guidance, representation, and training too long until their window on success has closed.

Most people know who I'm talking about.

I imagine losing a brother/son makes his family see the sport thru a different window than others and thats okay. I cant imagine what they have been thru. So maybe being difficult to work with or trying things their own way is because of past traumas 🤷 still cool to see him ripping!

Pretty sure he was up here with his dad years back when a track down the road from my family farm was being made. Seemed like good people.

Does anyone know exactly why he lost/left the AEO ride?
