Truth is if you do not enforce the law, you can pass whatever nonsense law you want and it won't change a thing. Can you take away a black market criminals income? or a person working for cash for the day standing outside home depot?

Best thing is ending the ability to imprison foreign nationals in the US. If they know they will be doing time in China Cuba, Russia, for 6 months then deported, from there back home and the penalties escalate, they will not cross illegally.

I'd send all of our foreign national prisoners to North Korea in a split second, and pay Kim Jong Un to watch em for us, think of it as good foreign relations. A year or two of that policy and Illegal immigration will be almost non existent.
