Plenty of hot water after 10 PM at the showers. Bring little beach footies/sandals...it's pretty gross in there barefeet....not as bad as some places, but still - kinda oozie on the floor. The shitters are always clean. I actually preferred to use their facilities than my motorhome - just for honey wagon savings....like $40.
JC - the track (last year) was absolutely perfect for every moto of the week. They grade the start turn every moto. The ruts in turns before jumps are flattened damn near every moto. The traction is awesome....just amazing. I used 756's the last few years and was happy. The strategic ruts are not flattened at all though. Go to my web site and have a look around. I have a TON of LL's photos. Muddle through and you will find gate pics, track shots...all kinds of stuff to preview. I have about 3 or 4 years worth of shots. Just scroll down and you will see the different years....
Assorted LL's stuff
Ruts - this was my favorite section of the track - the "new" back section. Very "Davey Coombs" old school.

Saturday late will probably put you in the first lot (field) on the right just past the beer tent/horse barn.
I have a 26ft Toy Hauler with a pickup truck so I don't need to much space.

Tuesday: Hot and miserable
Wednesday: Hot(ter) and Miserable(r)
Thursday: Rain, possibly heavy at times
Friday-Saturday: Return to hot and miserable
Sunday-Monday (after racing is done): a cold front will move in dropping temps and providing a cool breeze.
I believe that is the standard routine.

Hook Ups are posted.
http://www.mxsports.com/pages/the-national/hook-up-lottery
1) Parents - do not get to Lorettas on Thursday or Friday only to load Jr. up and drive for miles to a practice track to pound out the laps. If you feel you must go somewhere to get time on the bike, make it a "toned down" version of practice. You WILL NOT gain speed in the last few days before the gate drops, and we've seen lots and lots of people get hurt after they have already gotten there and before the first gate drops. We have always allowed Les to use those couple of days to relax and get mentally prepared - he still does his cardio everyday - but then generally spends the afternoons golfing with Earl May
2) While we should all realize that we want our children to have fun while there (and it is a blast!) try and make sure all the "fun" is done and the rider is in the motorhome/hotel room and relaxing by 9 or so each nite. Lucky for us that even at a young age Les realized this important fact - I won't say that he is asleep each nite at 9 - but I will assure you that by 9 or shortly after he is in the motorhome relaxing, wathcing TV, resting. He always says "lots of kids treat Loretta's like a wild vacation, but really its what we have worked the entire year for" - we like to listen to all the wild hootin' and hollerin' going on long after he is relaxing and count the # of riders he will have no trouble beating come morning
Just my 2 cents, hope it may help someone - again, I don't think we know everything - but we are certain these added with some of the things (thanks, flarider) from above have contributed to 3 championships and 3 podium finishes in the last four years! See everyone there!
My only wish is that the golf carts would be shut down at sunset and that the night programs started a whole lot earlier in the evening. The talent show on Friday sometimes hasn't started until 9pm. As a result, haven't attended in many many years.
Best of luck to everyone and Dave - keep the chicken coming!
