I'd love to see a 2 party ticket. DeSantis and Tulsi would be great.

Her own party doesn't want anything to do with her . That tells me all i need to know about her ,she's not like them.

I voted for trump both times.

I couldn't stomach the thought of hillary in 2016, or biden in 2020.

With that said, trump is an idiot. If he had just shut his mouth he would have won another term. Then after losing the presidency he went to Georgia for the senate battle and cost the republicans the senate majority.

I do not believe there was a giant conspiracy that stole the election. I do believe he cost himself the election by just NOT shutting up. and then, January 6, and then acting like a spoiled 4 year old on inauguration day. A lot of people that voted for him are just sick of him and know we can, and will do better.

I think we need a middle of the road candidate from either party.

Hell, I would vote for Joe Manchin on either ticket just because he showed some common sense and back bone.

Desantis might not be moderate enough for what we need, but then our country has become so polarized and divided that I am not sure there is anybody not beholding to special interest so much that they can get elected being moderate.

It is going to take some leaders that can reach across the aisle.

Somebody like LBJ
Reagan and tip Oniell
Clinton and Gingrich

All got things done

Might not agree with everything they did, but at least something was happening and negotiations and compromise happened.

There was some middle.
Awesome post.

I can't fathom how DT is even still in the picture for 2024 given how he basically tried to burn the country down on the way out (or to try to avoid having to leave). He was attempting to subvert the democratic process and do a coup, and was actually successful, for a few hours. And he is still shamelessly railing on about it? Anything good he may have done up to then just doesn't matter any more - the democratic process & peaceful transition of power is the foundation of the whole country. Unless you want a wannabe dictator as your president. There are likely a whole bunch of decent candidates, but even Pence (an ex-VP being a reasonable consideration, right?) would be worlds better than DT.

And JB (maybe an example of an ex-VP not being a natural pres candidate?) - not exactly a spark plug for the country either. Pretty head shaking how either side can't come up with someone better, and better for the country. We're in the same boat up here - if the Cons don't get their doodoo in order and get someone good at the helm, we'll likely end up with JT as PM again. Uggghhh.

Yeah, no. Stop watching CNN and MSNBC. That is not even close to what happened on Jan 6th.

I agree that Trump should have just shut up throughout his presidency, and focused on accomplishing what he campaigned on instead. I voted for him and would again, but I don't think he is the right person this time around. He showed the establishment that an outsider can win, but we need a new outsider this time, imo.

As far as fracturing in the R party, I am ok with identifying and removing ALL RINO trash, especially the group of senators that voted for the gun bill this week.

Considering the actions taken by Trump and his enablers leading up to January 6th, what exactly did happen on that day and why?

Is FOX still good or...., cos I heard a lot of you turned off once they started distancing themselves a little from Trump?

That's not stopped Dominion suing them for $1.6 Billion for knowingly spreading baseless election fraud claims though of course.

Fox is on the fence. They have always been “fair and balanced”, but I think they are getting directives from above to be more sympathetic to the left view. At least they don’t have Shep Smith anymore.

I watch Newsmax more than any now. You’ll probably say they are right wing nuts, which may be true, but ALL of the MSM ( ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC) are all far left, and carry the water for them ( take note how they all work in the pole tested catch phrase of the day that the Dems use) , so I think having one or two helping the right isn’t too much to ask.

On a side note, my Dad used to call our neighbor, who was a banker, the Loan Arranger.

Trump is unelectable. He lost the popular vote twice. He would be the worst choice for Republicans and the best choice for Democrats.

I supported his policies. But as far as upholding the values and office of the president, he was one of the absolute worst.

He fired a very respected and feared General (Mattis) over Twitter. Come on….

We can do better.

The Donald deserves his second term..even if it is just to see California flooded in leftist tears.

Then you get Desantis for 8 years, having lined up a good replacement in Florida for him.

Then hopefully , Don Junior for 8 years after that .

If the Dems cheat their way in again, Putin may as well drop the bomb, i am done with it all.

Uggghhh.
There have been people in a position of power that have acted reasonably recently.

I didn't really care for al gore.

This is a guy that couldn't even win his home state when running for president.

But I do respect that he did concede the 2000 election instead of doing something like trump did.

I was never a big fan of Obama either. But the man didn't act like a child on inauguration day. Instead he welcomed trump, a man that ran his mouth about Obama for years. It was handled in a classy way that was worthy of a retiring president.

I also respect pence for doing what he was supposed to do even though he knew it may very well cost him any chance to ever be president.

That’s the way I see it too . Republicans should keep the policies and ditch the personality . They could go on a winning streak … or the alternate, the Trumps could become the Republican version of the Clintons .

No, I would not. Those hearings are a dog and pony intended to provide a false narrative to the uneducated and easily manipulated. Look up Ray Epps and his involvement. You probably won't hear his name in the hearings.

If you are not uneducated and not easily manipulated, there is nothing to fear from watching some of the testimony. In case you weren't aware, many of DTs closest (maybe now former) friends and allies are having lots to freely say about the wrongdoings of DT.

How did you feel about the Benghazi hearings? Were those a dog and pony show, or legitimate hearings to find out what happened and why?

I certainly remember Hilary (she can eat all the dicks too) sitting for 11 straight hours under oath because the powers that be demanded an explanation. Right or wrong, believe her or not, she put it out there... Will Donny sit in front of the committee and talk about Jan 6th?

You don’t want to hear the truth. That’s what cult members do, ignore the facts and bury their heads in the sand. Real patriots stood up to DT and his attempt to turn our country from a Democracy to an authoritarian government. There were many that were on Nixon’s side until the truth came out. Wake up now or later, eventually you will or maybe rant until your time on earth is done.

I’ll vote for anyone that believes that America is a great country because of our democracy and want to see it continue.

When all is said and done Ron will be the man over Don. I think the self-packed baggage of Jan. 6 is about to get really heavy for Don.

Ray Epps was interviewed by the January 6th commission in January. You obviously believe he was an FBI ‘agitator’, maybe he was an informant. Evidence and testimony from other Jan 6th defendants suggest he was probably neither.

As RCMX said; you might want to start revisiting what you think you know, because January 6th isn’t simply about what happened on that day alone. The people in greatest legal peril are those involved in events leading up to it.

If you believe in democracy, the rule of law and your own constitution, I suggest you watch the hearings.
