So I used to enjoy the MEM podcast w Daniel Blair, had some really fun and interesting takes on moto and SX. Is it worth the pay subscription now for the show?

First off, what kind of dickhole downvotes an honest question?
(Probably the same one that downvotes my response. lol)

Secondly, If you like Blair it is worth it. Being totally honest Pulp and Whiskey Throttle both put out more and arguably better content for free but I do not regret being a Patreon member and will continue. It has a more intimate feel than the other podcasts. You know the audience isn't as big so it feels more personal. At the end of the day it's only 5 bucks so give it a shot.

Can't imagine paying to listen to Snap On Dan. Was hard even when it was free.

I enjoy the heck out or MEM. There is nothing else like it. 3x a week of fun with an amazing and uncensored community. It does not exist anyplace else. The live chat interaction is second to none. Part of why it is so cool is how few people are on it. So don't tell anyone please...

Especially $5 a month! With no commercials. I guess if you are OK with 20 minutes of ads an episode like pulp, you have the time. I would much rather have no ads and just get super fun content. Haters gonna hate...

More like an hour of ads per episode, they take atleast 3 maybe 4 breaks per show and the breaks are like 15-20 minutes if the same commercials every single time. I listen the next day when I do listen and skip them

But I get it, we wouldn’t have pulp without those ads

Thanks for input, I think I’m going to do it. I always enjoyed The content and actually like “tool man dan “ probably because I ride a green bike. And I totally agree with the “dickhole” comment in the first response. Moto on friends 🏁

Why does everything devolve into a competition about Pulp being superior and people coming out in droves to pump him up when that has nothing to do with the question of the OP.

MEM is worth five bucks to me. It’s good content to consume on a drive, a hike ride, run, whatever. Sometimes it’s downright hilarious. Other times it’s just okay.

But it’s still a different vibe than anything else. Shit if pulp and Whiskey were 5 bucks a month, id probably pay that too. I ride vet MX, I obviously like lighting my money on fire for this sport whats a little more.

Its literally 26 minutes of ads in a 5 plus hour show that you fast foward through easily. As for the guy saying people are always here to defend pulp well. It is the biggest and most informative podcast available for for free from a guy that gives back thousands of dollars to the fans and riders.

Side note: how come Mathes hasn’t asked RC about Triumph entry into the Mx market? He’s had RC on the show twice in the last few months… just wondering.

Didn’t RC say on 500 that he couldn’t really talk about it yet?

Matthes has brought it up and RC deflects when he does. Ricky starts rambling about the Triumph Tiger and adventure bikes/riding. Personally, I could not care less about the Tiger or adventure segment. Triumph's announcement about entering motocross last July perplexes me. Almost a year since the announcement and still nothing, not even a grainy spy photo? If this bike even exists it's more elusive than Sasquatch.

Gnarly NDAs. Anyone I’ve heard of that’s involved won’t let a peep slip on it. It exists and it’s a lot farther a long then people would guess, but they’re doing a damn good job of keeping it under wraps.

That’s what I thought but also figured Matthes would keep knocking on that door. Definitely feels top secret now. I’m sure curious what Triumph brings to MX/SX and hope it’s legit. More brands, more riders has got to be good.

That's understandable but IMO, Triumph, should be releasing little nuggets occasionally to keep the interest up. My interest level waned a while ago but I'm sure it'll go back up when or if it comes to market.

If it's the Dan who comes on here, he seems like a solid dude and puts some sweeeet moto toolboxes together.

I havnt listened to Main event moto since it changed to subscription based but DB did say it was that or quit the podcast all together. Not a money maker

Definitely worth the money. That and the pulp review show with weeg and jt are my two favorite every week. Plus mem Patreon opens up some additional live shows on Crowdcast and a forum on discord. It’s well worth it.

It is a really good podcast. Sometimes really funny. The one this year we're they were making fun of the supercross announcing was amazing. But it is really stupid that the other content they put out is not podcast.

I listen to a lot of moto podcasts. Each one has their own format and that's cool. The Main Event Moto podcast is a show and is the most Interactive since members on the chat are involved in the conversation. Almost every show people are also included on the broadcast live to chat on video. Different experience and a lot of fun.

Huge shoutout to all the Motoheads on here that support the show! To those who don’t feel it’s worth paying for it, we totally get it. To those that don’t like a “certain” host LOL Its all good, no hard feelings 👍🏻

I'm not a Kawi guy by any stretch of the imagination but I can't imagine disliking a guy because he is true to his brand. I would say anyone who gets that mad at a guy's brand loyalty should never go work in the Harley industry.

I love Main Event Moto and the whole crew. I prefer paying $5 a month over getting constant sponsor plugs like on pulp these days. I still appreciate what Matthes does but damn does it feel like an infomercial at times.

DB did an instant review pod yesterday and it was up within an hour after the final Moto. It was top notch content.

That is one of the best things about subscribing. He gets a thought in his head and he puts it out there. That was a good listen.

I’m a huge MEM fan. I gladly paid for the MMS (RIP) when that was around and have no problem paying for MEM. Producer Joe, Toolman Dan, Hobo Nick, and DB do an excellent job with the podcast and everything they do. Vincent is an absolute riot to listen to when he comes on. This is a group of guys I’d love to hang out with for a day or two. Great humor, wild opinions at times, and seem like good people.
