Maybe some riders didnt race because the rain...
Guys decide not to take the start, that is their choice.
Guys who race get a better gate for tomorrow.
They have done time practice, we all know how they should line up tomorrow, no race needed....
And if the race was not in France, Renaux 100% would not have lined up either.

Geerts was in wrong place wrong time, a rider swap to the right and took his front wheel out. Racing incident.
Seewer didn’t seemed to happy that the race still went on and a little later Renaux is lining up as one off the only factory guys
The sun was out and there was dust in places. The 125 boys raced the same track during torrential rain yet the top MXGP boys decided to not bother?! If their shit gate pick means they don’t get the start, and ultimately position they are capabable of tomorrow, and I’m a team sponsor then I would not be best pleased.
He cites lack of respect from the organisors , as the reason why they said 'enough' .
I feel differently now i hear this, and a said at the time, the fact they did fuck all to the track was dumb.
First i think all riders are pussies but now i undestand that his decission involves some more things tanh we know.
Totally agree with his decission, some times you need to know your boss that you are the person that do the hard work and need to compensate for that.
I am amazed that they can prep a start that needs fuck all doing to it for 30 mins , or when the track needs leaving, they dont, but it needed doing and they didnt.
Seewer says (and rightly so) 'they dont fucking care about us' ..
This was the straw that broke the camels back.
It will kick off from here, almost certainly,

The thing is, since junior Luongo stepped up to the CEO position, a lot of things happened in the background, for the worse. Although I don't like the old Luongo, with him you could at least have somewhat of a two-sided conversation. With the junior it's "my way or the highway", dude is a hard ego-tripper. The conversation on the line today ended somewhere along the lines: "the race is happening, with or without you - if you don't wanna race you're DQ-ed", but the wannabe dictator isn't really on par with the rulebook, which states that a lap in time practice is enough.
This is where some of the riders got really pissed. And for once - it's nice to see that the riders are stepping up together, and having enough of the Luongo bullshit!
This started off about mud but quickly turned into attitude and respect, and they didn't ride because of those reasons.
everts is pretty off with his thumbs down in this too. He lead a walk out at one stage
Oh and like Josh said: I've seen this in South Africa with Pichon and Everts working together with some other heavy hitters but nothing happened. I've seen this in Mexico where death people's head where lying on the street because the MXGP wasn't really welcome there and by the way the track was dangerous. Everyone was on board besides two or three riders who got booed and by the urban legend some Belgian rider saved his piss to throw at them... But NOTHING HAPPENED.
There is a time and place to say enough is enough but that could've been in Indonesia, that track was a real mud race, it looked more like a rice field then a race track but still everyone raced.
I agree with Guillod. Spain was dangerous nobody did a thing, just to remember Josh Coppins, Jago Geerts crashed there in the first round on a wet spot because they just flooded the track and he got loose on a slippery piece. You know some blue groove with water, great!
I don't care so much about 40 rider gates. We see 40 riders in AMA and often 25-40th just get in the way! If MXGP made it less expensive to enter, paid start and/or prize money like golden years, the gate 15-40th could be filled with better riders who only focus on national championship but are good enough for MXGP. Maybe we even see break out rides like from yesteryear.
Also don't agree about tracks, many are what we have seen before so don't see how you can judge those as a negative. Matterley Basin, Maggiora, Newquen, Maggiora, Trentino, Ernee, Agueda, as example! All very good! We have worst to come!!!
Some tracks do look like shit though.
