Do you know if Mewse is riding?
As he broke his collarbone last Sunday, I highly doubt it.

So... Standing Construct is going to lose it's factory deal with Husqvarna for next year. I didn't want to make a new topic so I'll just post it here. Between the very low entries this year across the board and multiple teams folding up, the future of MXGP looks very dire.

Husqvarna expects a sharp decline in engine sales from next year, at least that's the official reading

I understand why they’r expecting that. Major bummer for Tim Matthys, after all the work and money he spend. Mxgp needs more guys like Tim.
With the economical situation we’re in, or facing, i’m wondering if mx can survive another financial crisis…

That’s what you get when you need to pay more then 11k for a new bike. It’s getting ridiculous, and they shoot them self in the foot with that.

I get everything gets more expensive but there seems no wall, while allot off people have that wall in their pockets.

I would like by my self to buy that new 350, but with those prices and mine 22 model just running fine I will keep riding the 22.

Yeah that is true, but they buy bicycle for 10,K without blinking with the eyes.
So 12k for much more is less.

Because they expect a world-wide recession.
And I have spoken with several planners and they say all the signs are on red.
The inflation is sky high and the negatively about the economy is growing.

Not a single Husqvarna in MX2. No Fredriksen either due to sickness.

Vialle seems the man to beat here in MX2. I think he's very keen to take the red plate to France next week.

I am on site, my first mxgp (I had been in mxon 2006 previously). The set up looks very professional, but it has lost its essence I Think....

Looks too professional, there is no place here for privateers or low budget team. Seems like beside all fees and whatever the organizer charges... The cost to have even the lowest setup to show to race is insane.

Not sure how someone who is not factory or has some mega rich guy throwing money behind, can make a living racing here... The cost to have this professional setup (that of course looks really good) I think is too high for the health of the sport

Good luck to the young bloke!

Saw Lotte Van Drunin (sp?) in the highlights - she got 33rd. Not sure how many EMX125 entries there were, usually it's quite a few, so, getting into the Motos is quite an achievement.

She finished 20th and 21st in Latvia so I think she expects to make the motos.
I want her to do so good! She won the Dutch championship the last round against the boys.

Some excellent racing in both EMX125 as WMX. The crowd is ready!

Tough deal for Geerts. Personally I hate going out to race on a hardpack track straight after they have flooded it. So sketchy. Conditions should be perfect for the 450 guys.

Back in the day at a GP at Farleigh Castel we stayed at the same hotel as team Honda, Brad Lackey & Steve Whitlock. The entire team was in a small white van with a single tiny HRC sticker on the door. It was so understated it was actually cool.

The sport, at the top at least, is getting too elite for its own good.

Well, it seemed Prado faded because he lost confidence after his crash, but I think he was just spent.

The last week, instead of "rest-train-eat-sleep-repeat" he went "interview-photo session-autograph session-meet and greet-repeat". That's nice for the fans and a good representation for the Spanish GP, but if I was him I'd do it differently next season. It's just too much in a weeks time ahead of an important GP. The focus a rider usually has building up to the weekend just wasn't there.

I saw the crash in front of me. I leaved the race to avoid the traffic and now on my way home so I don't know how he continued, but he seemed very comfortable before the crash.... But yes, in the first moto it seemed like he realized he realized he was not catching the guys in front and just settled to save energy
