Depends on who’s holding the stopwatch.

In all seriousness, between the Honda boys still mostly being back East, Star Yamaha being at the farm, and a lot more SX only teams…there’s not a lot of guys out here yet. This week should be a bit busier and then next week there’s a big pre-race press day on Tuesday at Fox Raceway that’ll be slammed.

JA21 is flying from what I’ve heard.
You know that guy's going to hit the national's on frikkin fire.
Hope he stays healthy, and can carry it through the entire series.

I think he'll be the only one dogging those Yamaha's consistently.

Chase and Kenny will have their moments.
But not every moto.

Rode Glen Helen on a Thursday back in March and JA21 was absolutely ripping. I hope he can make it through the outdoor season. He's always been a great outdoor rider just always gets hurt and bad luck

Just watching videos from Glen Helen, he is insanely fast and making it look effortless. He and Kawi are really clicking!

Anderson looks to have the suspension dialed on the Kawi. It seems to be softer and riding lower in the stroke than Eli's setup. They both look insanely fast but Anderson's suspension looks quite a bit smoother. We shall see

On a side note... Shane looked better than Savatgy to me. Both are a bit of an underdog going in, so I want to see them both flying.

These guys will most likely have lap times within a second of each other most of the time on race day yet people can tell who’s faster by watching them ride different days 😂

Exactly.
Then on race day the track will be deep and rutty and the gaps are way bigger.
The biggest difference I see if with the slower 250 factory guys and the fast privateers. On a practice day they are 1 sec a lap slower. Run a practice moto and only be like 15secs behind. Then on race day they are 5secs a lap down and get lapped.

Looked like Eli reeled Jason in there, plus 10-10 mark

......I'm more interested in what they are going to do to the track for the opener.

If it's what I suspect they are going to do, MX 12 may be the suggested tire on the Dunlop Semi truck sandwich board, and Cairoli may be end up the podium...

He definitely looked more aggressive, but that could also have to do with Savatgy still readjusting to the aluminum frame.

Savatgy is also coming back from a knee injury.

Is that structure being built at Pala supposed to be finished before the national? Also, what is it?!

Most of the usual suspects are probably ripping.
For outdoors it's whose still ripping after 20 minutes? Usually that is ET3 but last year that was Ferrandis.
Roczen can do it, and AC, when healthy. Not sure about the rest.

AC is in your short list of late moto chargers? Nah

It would take a lot of new material or a pretty vast amount of moisture to run a MX-12 / 13 or Scoop there all day. Practice sure, first moto maybe...but the hill area has been so packed in for years.

Also be curious on prep as I believe the series runners, MX Sports, would like to see similar prep to what they pushed last year. Which was less soaking and ripping. Trying to get the tracks to be less of slot car tracks. It got brought up in basically every weekly team meeting last year.

Last year they have multi-level scaffolding there for VIP areas. Looks like a more permanent building in the same area. I also believe they had the track announcers on that top level / maybe camera crew?

There was also no "team managers" tower area last year as there is at most tracks. Everyone stood on a table top. So I'm guessing they'll be allowed on the top level on the railing outside.
