Maybe Jett should have been penalized for pushing him off the track.

(This should be fun)

I think the rule should be if they go off the track they have to re-enter the track within 10 feet of where they went off, not until it’s safe…make some real consequences for going off track and guys would be far less likely to go off the track….this accelerating off the track is silly…
Then there should be consequences for deliberately pushing another rider off the track. Too many rules.

Easy, just put endurocross runs between the lanes and never have to make another decision again...

After getting home last night and watching the recap I was able to see that the pass was def clean. It shows forkner re-enter the track just behind jet and then pass him. From where I was watching in the stands last night (on the opposite side and diagonally), to me and everyone I was with we all thought it looked like he caught back up to jett on the strait before reentering next to him for the pass. I now see thats not the case and to me it def is a clean pass.

If he accelerated while off the track, how is that different from Mookie and Anderson in Daytona? Just because they did it for a longer section of being off the track? I don't care either way, just curious why it would be different.

Pretty obvious track cut. Honda probably didn’t give a shit since they won the chip so they didn’t protest.

Well he went off the track to avoid the jump that Jett had to jump over. Forkner was off course with the wheels on the ground pinning it. It definitely set him up for the pass he otherwise wouldn’t have been able to make.

Forkner was almost dead even with Jett before being pushed off the track. He rejoined behind him, so please tell me the advantage gained?

Plenty of explanations above, but it’s pretty simple really, unless you can give a reasonable answer to this question:

How do you get passed, get pushed off the track, and be in position to re-pass as soon as you rejoin, if you didn’t gain advantage while off the track?

They were even when they got together. Forkner gets pushed off the track, rejoins behind Lawrence. Outbrakes him going into the next corner…

Leaving the track while even and entering behind doesn’t seem like much of an advantage.

What am I missing?

Why are some arguing the 'no advantage gained' rule (even though the speed gained missing the jump clearly allowed him to retake the position)? It's the 'accelerating while off the track' rule which, imo, is pretty hard to argue against watching it back. I don't care either way, it's just a little inconsistent seeing it's been enforced multiple times this year.

Does it require protests to have most of these rulings looked at? I hope not

Jeez. This isn't outdoors. Where did he find that type of spot in a stadium?

Tomac must have been directed to the podium, but went straight back to the pits?
Considering he finished 7th, a fine seems a bit harsh?
