Bloody Mary's and Bang energy drinks in downtown STL today. One of the coolest takeways from last night was Sextons rocket launch in the first 450 race. It was basically perfect and we think he may have jumped at the luckiest possible time. Anyone get video?

Thanks Mav. I am hoping someone has personal footage from the side. From our perspective it was an amazing feat of gate timing!

Seriously! I was yelling at the TV again for that one. Then they showed the damn pit-crew watching the race... I WANT TO WATCH THE RACE not watch someone else watching the race. I rarely complain and over-all enjoy the broadcast but damn, the start and that segment got my blood boiling.

Its the most important 3 seconds of the race , and we miss it.

When they are on the gate, you get to see who is where, and know who you want to look at, they flick away , and they are halfway down the straight.

We were sitting in one of the corners behind the gate. Coincidentally about six people around me all were focusing close to sexton and all saw his jump and then all looked at each other and said “holy shit! Did you see sextons jump!?”. It was incredible. I haven’t seen a closeup of but it looked like he maybe grazed the gate.

I like when they go down the gate and show the bikes up close . Just pull back and get the start. Maybe an angled shot form in front instead of dead straight.

Show the start, from the front,from turn one, EVERY TIME.
