Drops(in PulpMX context) – Sound bites(usually 5 seconds or less) lifted from the show's guests / co-hosts / regulars.

Here's a few from the show over the years: https://apptabs.pulpmx.com/drops.html

No it isn't cancel culture just a reminder not everyone in motorsports acts like they're in junior high, Nonsense like this is why MX remains an after thought to civilians.

I could go without the extensive references to shaving male anatomy though, and Perebinos discussing waxing his butthole. I mean, Jesus, why the fuck do I need to hear about that?
It's because the show is real and that's what makes it great. It's not "regulated" and you may hear about baseball or e bikes or sexual discussion etc....but it's a show about motocross, not Family Ties. It's like a group of guys hanging out in the garage. Just like HBO, you may not want your kids watching, but it's likely not a big deal. Your choice as a parent, not Steve's responsibility.

I think this had something to do with introducing the Starcross 6 on the show. Probably had extra corporate ears listening.

I would agree if it wasn't for Michelin sponsoring the show. If Michelin overall had an issue with it, why are the marketing dollars there to begin with?

I think this whole thread is a huge overreaction.

Great point. For sure that is going too far in the oppositte direction but will never be down with our media dropping F bombs. Save that stuff until you're off the air.

It's nothing about who he works for and is everything about Randy as a man.

If you follow him on any socials he is very open with his faith. That being said Steve respects Randy enough that if Randy doesn't want to hear something he will respect his wishes.

Non issue if you're an adult... Pulp is good. I will listen every time Randy Richardson is co-hosting. People are on here arguing if they should be able to hear "anal bleaching", or not. Jaysus Criminy people. This is hill some of you are willing to die on, and won't support Michelin because of this issue?

I agree. Randy is great on the show and if he doesn't want to participate in the shenanigans, that should not be an issue. My points earlier were about people criticizing the show in general, not Randy having an issue with it.

I love Pulp and listen to every episode. Sometimes while on vacation I will subject my wife to listening to moto podcasts as we drive cross country. I have turned Pulp off while driving with her. She's not a prude but she's also not a dude, I don't participate in locker room talk in front of her. The show is rarely vulgar and over the line but there are times it's for guy talk and I like it that way.

I don't know what "drop" is, nor who Randy Richardson is, nor whether I should be outraged or proud.

I'm too old I guess. Anybody care to summarize the situation for those of us that have no idea what's even being discussed right now.

Randy’s big downfall. Thinking he’s funny when in reality he misses the Mark 9/10 times. His attempt to be witty often results in him just interrupting and not being funny. I’m cool with him not coming back on. Randy needs Pulp not the other way around.
I agree with you 100%, I am sure Randy is a great guy! However his approach is overwhelming. I love the show but turned it off after 20 minutes. Cant wait for ep 500!

I was referring to Money not wanting to support Michelin any more because of this...that is cancel culture at it's finest in my opinion.

It’s interesting because Steve and Keefer had to create a dedicated after dark segment and explicitly announce when stuff like that would be discussed. The Hollywood drops are kind of reversing that by bringing them back into the main part of the show. I’m not necessarily against them or will be the Karen that calls his sponsors to complain, but I just don’t think they’re that funny compared to others they have.

To me that's funnier than any drop could ever be. So if the new Strarcross 6 is the greatest tire ever some guys would rather lose traction and crash than to miss one week of anal bleaching talk.

That's comedy gold right there.

You nailed my feelings on it.

It was funny when Holley was on, and the week after when they introduced that they made drops out of his appearance, but I just don't see where the regular moto talk warrants a regular "anal bleaching" drop. It's just too forced.

Doesnt bother me but the more professional you keep it . The more it will be treated as such.
