I need some advice, was into buying a Vortex CDI for the 125, do you guys just think its a waste of money?

Found a dyno on a YZ 125 with a Vortex CDI, and it only gained 1hp. I dont know the other mods it had.

I can get ahold of one for 500$

I would get that last after porting, head mods, case matching, race gas. Even then you would want someone to tune the vortex on a dyno to maximize the potential.

Thank you for the input, then it will be put aside for the moment Smile

Today I cleaned up my fuel-tank and every part around it, and put som heat-tape on.

Not to self, make sure that the tank is empty before taking it in to the house, or else you will get racefuel on the floor....

The standard PWK38 air striker fits perfectly. Direct swap. I used a 97 KX250 carb in my 05 KX125, no tps, no powerjet. Ran great!

I am currently waiting on one last bearing, before I get that I cant continue. And its soooo frustrating... but sometimes you just need to keep calm and do other stuff Wink

So been gone for a while, but have put a lot of hours in the garage, and the bike is started.

Currently waiting on getting the suspension back från revalving av cerakote.

The seatcover need to be fitted better and graphics is not ordered yet, trying to get someone to sponsor me with that.
I think that this build will be my best so far, no shortcuts taken with anything. I really want to test this badass now.

Things are coming together slowly, but as i just bought the house of my ex girlfriend and my budget is more restricted and things will go a bit slower Smile

That thing is amazing, very nice work. Let us know how the cerokoted forks hold up. They look sweet.

So I got tired of the black white and went another route, got the frame coated silver.
New plastic. Threw away the pwk as it didnt work on my bike (faulty carburator) went back with the mikuni with new internals. Works great.

Have about 5hous on the bike so far.
Really happy with the outcome.

Enjoy
