“The tuff block made me do it” doesn’t cut it. If that would have been Friese instead of Lawrence, they’d have his head on a stick right now.
Forkner did not deserve that bullshit.

Shit happens. I would be saying the same thing if it was Friese. Ultimately it was Jett mistake, but it was not intentional or negligent.

He did he the tuff block, altering his trajectory, that is clearly seen in the footage.
Who is saying Forkner deserved it?

in the real world riding out of control to get back to the front, breaking someone's arm and putting them out of work would be negligence. in our world it's a racing incident. if you're the golden boy.

Well Jett crashed in a corner at the start of the race. What if Forkner ran into him and Forkner broke his leg. Would that be negligence on Jetts part?

It was an ugly crash but let’s not let that change the reality that it wasn’t intentional or negligent.

It’s a racing incident. Mistake on Jetts part.

Whether Jett did it to him or he did it to himself, it was only a matter of time for forkner to be out with an injury.

You're supposed to race between the tuff blocks, not in them.

Well if it becomes a recurring thing than yes take Jetts head off. But pretty sure this is the first time he has taken anyone out…

....because everyone's willing to collide with another rider 30ft in the air to keep the lead. You're over analyzing, it was an accident.

When you spend the entire lap pinned swapping the entire outer edge of the track almost hitting every tough block, don’t act surprised when you clip a tough block. Bone head move, and Jett knows it.

Riding literally on the edge can bite you and others, sucks more for the other in this case. Bummed for Austin. Hopefully a “learning lesson” for Jett.

This shit is so dangerous and takes so much skill it blows my mind. Average Joes watching the show have no idea.

I hate seeing these guys get hurt.

Racing incident no problem. I think it’s respectful and the proper way to handle it by showing remorse. Not Jett’s fault but he has gone out of his way to wish Forkner a good recovery. Good to go

I've now seen 2 rounds of Jett taking unnecessary risks, making too many mistakes and pushing alla BamBam through the field to make up for those mistakes.
Now Forkner is the victim of it and with some luck Jett gets away unscathed.
Must be part of the age or something, with Prade / Herlings in a similar case in mind last year.

He was out of control for half a lap…at some point he’s a danger to himself and others. All that’s speed has to be controlled.

Jett had 3 crashes in 3 motos, would be logical to assume he was fast and a bit out of control. He was going too fast in the corner and hit the tuff block and took another rider out, and ruined the other riders SX season. Yeah he should be remorseful. I get it, Jett gets a pass cause he is the current media darling. Pretty sure Forkner may not be so understanding. Doubt there will be payback, just cause i dont think Forkner can catch him.

He t-boned Michael Mosiman last year and then proceeded to call him a "dirty rider" later in the season after Mosiman so dared to show him a wheel in a 180 without making contact. Nobody cares though because "personality" and "marketing"

Case closed? I bet Forkener isn't brushing it off that easy. His season is now over, but don't worry it was unintentional....nothing to see here.

"Sorry officer I was driving 120 MPH in a residential neighborhood, I smashed into a house and a few parked cars. But, it was unintentional, case closed"

That is how stupid you sound.

The only thing stupid is you and your analogy.

If I’m Forkner I’m putting Jett on the ground next chance I get. Accidents have consequences. I don’t think anyone would begrudge Forkner putting a hard pass on Jett next chance he gets.

That’s also part of RACING.

Swing and a miss with that analogy…

Racing is dangerous and sometimes you can’t fully control where your dirtbike wants to go. Pretty simple really

Stop licking Jetts bean bag, case closed.

He ruined a dudes season and you nut swingers brush it off because Jett is a good kid. No biggie, unintentional blah blah...I bet Austin feels the same way.

I'm hoping Jett wins it, but he's gotta back her down...this isn't the first incident.

Not really comparing apples to apples. One rider has decades of history of doing stupid shit while sliding backwards in the pack.

The other rider, doesn’t.

Jett nearly lost it in the whoops, knew he might lose a position because of it, and made a bad decision to pin it around the outside.

He ended his rookie season trying to regain a position on Ferrandis.

He needs to learn how to remain more calm and make better decisions. If he's faster at his sustainable race pace, he'll get the position back; no need for panic.

I think the tough block contact scared him so he went right as opposed to the contact actually altering his trajectory

That’s the truth. The fanboys are flocking to defend Lawrence. If that’d been Friese cross jumping Lawrence into season ending injuries this place would truly meltdown.
