The poor guy can't catch a break. The track builders clearly should have built another berm in those flat corners. They design tracks for riders to make contact. But you don't hear of Vince complaining. He just does his job

I agree; however, he's setting himself up for a "Craig Smackdown" that Christian knows how to deliver.

And at least CC probably knows how to do it right...which means only one rider falls down.

There was a very cool discussion tonight on the Main Event Moto podcast/ vlog. The general consensus was that it was a 50/ 50 incident. This came about after 100 video reviews and a ton of discussions with the players involved and their teams...And another revelation was that modern fans need to toughen up and let the bar banging be the best part of the sport.

Cheers!

Grant Langston posted his thoughts on ig. Also posted some photos eith new angle, showing friese and Craig were side by side coming into the sand. TLDR he chalked it up to a racing incident and friese should've been aware and craig should've backed off not having the inside

Like GL said, racing incident. Obvious from the get go.
As far as race craft, why would Craig try to make a pass on a guy like Friese in that section, Craig should be smarter that that, he knows Friese is a hard racer and doesnt back down, many do exactly the same in the back of the pack, every body loves watching it. When it's happens to one of the stars in front or one of the media favorite, it's as if there's special treatment.

I know Vince, personally. Took him to a few races in Germany. He's a good guy. He looks at this as a real job, every place up or down is money in or out of his pocket, and he's nearing the end of his career. He has the skill, he's a good rider. Truth is, he's a 8-10 place guy, but he's smart enough to know if he can be the best starter, he can hang on and improve his results. Does he override? Sure, don't we all? He's a guy giving 110% every race, not mailing it in.

How cool would it be to have a gate of racers willing to put it all on the line, 110%, every time, and not just "Ride comfortably, get a good result and rack points?"

If everybody rode like Vince at “110%” there would be nothing left but bodies laying on the track after all the cross jumping, blocking and takeouts…because that’s what Vince’s extra 10% is…he would do better and would have had a better career if he just raced forward 100% of the time…

I like Vince, had a working relationship with him for a while and he was always professional and easy to be around. I am glad I don’t race against him though. We can all agree, I don’t think he gives a damn what anyone thinks.
That stat makes sense considering he holeshots so many races.

No different than I bet Ferrandis has passed the most racers because his starts suck.

Vinces starts are amazing and his speed isn’t quite there so he gives a couple spots back.

But he finishes better because of those starts without a doubt.
