I've followed vital for many years now and I love the sport of motocross. I don't know GuyB personally and have no beef with him, but damn if this place didn't feel like a hostile environment for a long time. I didn't enjoy the constant banning and mockery by the admins for doing so. I know the site suffered as I could see the activity drop. It just feels different now, in a positive way, with GuyB gone. And so, I decided to try it again (hopefully others will as well). We will see how it goes.

I have posted here for over 10 years , many times in non moto arguments that were close to the line, and never got banned or even warned.

It’s amazing how being civil to people keeps stuff like that away

Guy B left in the off season. If you compare his last weeks here with the January activity, it’s more likely you’re just seeing the SX excitement ramping up. It happens every year.

Either way, this thread isn’t going the way you want so let’s just abandon it and get back to enjoying whatever it was you like about the post Guy-B era, whether it has anything to do with him or not.

There's no doubt there's a few real assholes on here.
But I would say the vast majority are just moto heads that love the sport, like I do..

Afterall, it's called a "forum".
A place to share ideas, ask questions, give opinions, and yes sometimes argue.

But there are times that it can get a bit ugly, just like most social media. That's when I just move on to another thread.
Ageeing to disagree seems to be an outdated concept these days.

Motodrive would have weeded shit like this out. Self policing was the best of times. It was the worst of times... (all depended on which side you were on).

Guyb did a great job of dealing with a bunch of 40 year old children. (coming from somebody that was clicked several times)

Unfortunately, I've had enough run-ins with Steve over the past decade to know that he did not treat people equally and fairly. I have no problem following rules and guidelines but when those that stipulate those rules and guidelines break them at their will don't expect others to ignore it blindly. More than a few times Steve would make snarky comments about Republicans. I'm not a Republican or Democrat because I've come to the understanding of what our government is. So when someone like Steve professes that the Republicans are the problem but ignores Democrats that kind of personal bias and hypocrisy is unacceptable.
