Just picked up a Chevy express 2500 standard length. Looking for different ideas on setups for having a futon type deal in it. Curious on what others have done... fitting 2 bikes would be nice but not necessary. Would rather a place to sleep. Thanks

Don’t have any pics but have the same van, used a Walmart futon across the front of the cargo area facing the cargo area. Only a few of the ones they had were short enough to fit cross ways. Built a little platform to raise the floor up for it to sit on where it drops down for the step by the door.
Use e track on the floor with chain and hooks to the foot pegs. Bikes towards the outsides, rear fenders almost touching rear doors, with front wheels turned outward.
It’s tight but it works.

I have the regular length Ford e250. This set up allows me to drive 3, load 3 bikes, and sleep 1.

Nick. Mine is 2019 express std wheelbase. Been trying different layouts before locking down the interior build. This seems to work well for a single moto and my Mtb. The passenger swivel is a game changer and can even “work” in between week day motos.

Only issues is t4 smells it up but normal pump gas is no issue and not being able to stand up sucks balls after a long weekend living out if.

I’ve got a similar setup in a low short sprinter. I envy the guys that can sleep sideways in their setup because I can’t and that config would be way more space efficient.

For short van build, getting rid of the tied down straps really helps.
