Good, that's who I was leaning towards the most, heard only great things about them and I'm sure they did a lot r&d with the MCR team. A little cheaper than TD too. Didn't if it was worth paying twice as much than tokyomods tho

How much is xpr? I was quoted 300 from twisted. On my 2020 crf250r I went with twisted and was super happy with the performance gains.

How many people have gone stiffer on the fork/shock? I’m 163, pretty fast but not that fast. Thinking one rate stiffer for both.

2022 CRF250R stock rate is 47/5.3 front/rear. I am thinking I will go 48/5.4

2022 CRF250RX is 49/5.3, and you went with 50/5.4? Is the front fork stiffer because of weight on the RX?

Guess I have bad info. My forks and shock are from the R model on my RX. FC did one step stiffer front and stock rear spring from the R. The difference with their revalve is dramatic.

This is an RX. For the R yes you have to buy an RX pump per RedMoto/Checkpoint Offroad. The IMS can use the stock R pump.
Does the Red Moto tank give the RX a slimmer feel than stock tank? Just curious why you would give up the extra quarter of a gallon in the stock RX tank for the Red Moto 2.0 gallon. I assume for ergos, or maybe the plastic visibility?

Parts fiche says 4.8N front and 50N rear for the R. The RX is one rate softer front and rear.

It's way slimmer. The stock RX tank is a pig. The bike will easily do a 2 hr offroad race on the east coast with the redmoto tank.

Damn, I guess RaceTech is wrong, then. You are correct!

Thumperrider, are you running a 49 and 5.1, then?

Oh yeah, I am def taking it there. When we spoke we were sort of in-between on if we should go stiffer on the fork, so just curious what other people have done.

Yeah the race tech online calculator is often incorrect for the stock rates.

Thanks. Guess I’ll call xpr and see how they are coming along with maps for this bike. I think I will email Keefer and ask if he’s tried either company.

Just got mine back from FC. I’m a 175 pound vet rider . They had me go up one stiffer on front and rear. I’m coming off a 2020 with stock valving but one size stiffer on front and rear . My 20 was perfect!!! I hated the forks on this 22 ! I haven’t got to try out the new valving yet

Didn’t get the link but I did talk to them about that. Unfortunately I live in the Midwest and winter and I don’t get along. I won’t get a real chance for at least a month or two to try it out. I also have a 21 crf450r revalved by FC and I did get to try it out a little bit before winter. FC made it night and day better so I’m expecting the same for this bike.

Getting closer to finishing her up....I put 2 hours on her before winter and never could find any comfort with the forks.I sent forks and shock to FC and paired them up with some ride split clamps and even added the hpsd damper.

I’ve been adding some goodies...yoshi system

KSR Wheels,

Added the works connection radiator braces,Pro Pegs, Pro taper fusion bars with ARC levers,Twin Air power flow kit, Throttle Jockey graphics...

Last thing I want to do is send in my Vortex and have it mapped.Cant decide to go with Twisted or Xpr ?? I LOVED what Twisted did for my 2020 Crf but I also like what Xpr did for my 21Crf450r. Tough decision...

Very nice!

Is that a cover on your twin air?

What spring rate for the fork and shock?

110 rear?

Caught covid this week so I had extra time to kill...

Spend a day and a half making mesh sleeve to protect my radiator.

Also cerakoted my valve cover

Yep it’s a filter skin stretched over the filter. It’s actually made for pool filters . I noticed the wife had a bag of pool filter skins and I compared them to the pc racing skins. They ended up being the same thing and much cheaper! The skin in this picture is older and has been stretched out . I usually use them a few times then steal more from the mrs …The rear is a 110. Ran a 110 on my last 250f and loved it. FC had me go up one size on forks and shock. Fork is .49 ..
The shock spring is also one stiffer.FC was out of my size (5.3) so they got a OEM 5.3. Only difference was FC is yellow and mine is stock color.

That’s funny you made your own louver covers! I’ve been doing the same lol.I made these for my 450 but I’m getting ready to make them for this bike .

I’ve been noticing some of the factory teams are using a mesh screen made of rubber. I’ve been searching on where to find it but not much luck so far. I love the red valve cover you did. I remember when I bought my bike in the fall I went to check the valve clearances and found out taking the valve cover off was more work than normal. I was in hurry so I figured I would check them over the winter. What else besides the tank did you have to remove? If I remember right I had to take the coil off also on my 20crf.

Nice! Very nice bike you have! Since the last generation of Honda I find that the radiator get pretty messed up by roost so y wanted to protect them a little

Did you use normal screen or pet resistant? I used pet resistant screen but it is quite thicker than normal and got worried that it would mess with the radiator fins. Pet rubber screen works great to weld the seams tho.

I'm going to make a set with gutter mesh guard also for more rocky track and hot days.

Good thing with this gen is that the 250 and 450 have the same louvers and left & right are mirrored so I only had to do one template

Hurly makes radiator protection, not sure if it is what you were looking for. They look more like moulded plastic

http://www.hurly.it/radiatori/

Has for the valve cover, just like on your 20, I removed the tank and unbolted the coil out of the way then was able to wiggle the cover out. Had fun, it was the first time I did cerakote.

I'm also on the fence about who to send my vortex to. I want to send it to XPR but his maps are base on a Yosh and akrapovic exhaust while twisted are working with the firepower team who use HGS like I most likely will be getting.

Also on the fence about suspension, contrary to mostly everyone, I liked the forks and hated the shock, but I listened to Keefer latest podcast and according to what he said, all spring are supposed to be good for me and I shouldn't need a revalve.

Where did you guys get the screen? The radiators on my Suzuki are hammered and Twin Air doesn’t sell there sleeves. You think screen for a screen porch would work okay?

I will say that Twisted did a amazing job on my 20 . My son had a stock vortex on his 21 crf250f so we were able to compare stock, stock vortex, and twisted mapped vortex. My twisted maps were a huge improvement. But xpr is cheaper lol…
