The first two SX races of the year, Peacock has largely avoided most of the riders and their sponsors during qualifying. Pea seems to fixate on a rider for the first 5 minutes of qualifying. How about showing at least 10 other racers so their sponsors can get some air time. Hard to grow a sport when the director has some kind of agenda.

It isn't just qualifying. Hell at one point Chris Blose was running 2nd or 3rd and they talked about how great the factory riders in front of him and behind him were doing, never even mentioned his name and the camera just glanced over him real quick trying to get to the riders behind him.

Qualifying is a little more challenging for them for a few reasons. They have talking points on certain rides each weekend so they will focus on a rider and he might be rolling around not on a hot lap. People complain because they are following guys rolling around. Then the other issue is during qualifying all the top guys are really spread out. I know people like to complain on this board but qualifying is challenging for the crew.

During the 450 LCQ they threw it to the pits for some BS about Kenny and Chase being friends. Why does anyone care

Those who pay the bills get the most TV exposure.

I think when people say, “Grow the sport.” They really just mean, “grow my sales.” I don’t think people on the inside of the industry care about growing the sport. Because it’s hard and is just more cost effective to just grab business from your competitors.

Stop trying to have talking points about what the rider on screen did during the week. Too much story time. Let’s just watch hot laps, and they can talk about the “stories” between sessions.

They make it more complicated than it needs to be.

It’s not hard to watch a rider ramp up to a fast lap, pick that guy up as he charges the first portion of the lap, if he makes a mistake, switch to the next guy starting a fast lap.

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1000%.

I wish you were the director of the qualifying shows. I usually end up screaming at the TV because were watching some guy roll around the track while they finish their "story" about that rider.

It’s not about growing the sport, its about growing the bank accounts of FELD and promoters! Look NASCAR has been loosing tv ratings now for a while. They changed their format trying to bring back the ratings with the chase and other tweaks but they have not worked. So now they are heading toward streaming. Same is true with SX and MX. Money talks. You guys jumping ship to streaming over the last couple of years is playing into their hands. What are you getting, coverage that you complain about every week at a for now cheaper price. Cable and satellite tv did the same thing when they started.
