No. I believe that’s a 125. My friend had the last yz80 that had 2 shocks, 1977. The 80 didn’t get a monoshock till 1978. That was the bike that I caught the MX virus on.

That’s what I originally thought, too, but the tank says ‘80’ and the kick starter is also from an 80.
Read last post on page five I wrote a story on that Mono shocked 1976 YZ80.

Just ran across this goldmine.
It's a video of the 1984 500 national at Saddleback and the first lap you can see Bailey and another just clearing the leap. I barely remember being there as my buddy and I had a bottle of Meyers Rum.Laughing

Goat Breker was hauling and as an added bonus Larry "Motormouth" Huffman was announcing.

Damn Bailey was smooth as glass on that Factory 500 BEAST! Woohoo

They would disc it and water it in the mornings, and it was actually good. But by 12:00 it was roached.

Yep I remember going down Webco hill into the right corner it was like pavement at the end of the day. There would be dark skid marks and you could hear chirps from the tire! Woohoo
