An excellent interview where he’s given an opportunity to tell it like it is…

https://racer.com/2021/11/07/interview-jason-anderson/

An excerpt from the interview:

“As far as the fans go, I really feel bad sometimes because I feel like I want to be able to just shoot the s*** with them. We both have the same interests. We like to ride motocross bikes. Sometimes it’s hard for me to do that whenever we are working. That balance is tough, but at the end of the day, I truly am a fan of the sport. We watch all the races. We know all the races. We watch GPs. All the stuff. Between me, Tom and Matt, we just really enjoy it and we hope it comes across that way. And we want to show a brighter side of the sport. I work hard. I don’t really show people that I do. But I also like to mess around and enjoy myself with my friends and we have the same interests.”

I hope this change works well for him, new bike, team, new motivation etc...

I'm interested to see about him and AC hitting it off and working well together? I don't know but assume that Tomac stuck to himself and a guy like AC wants to be a little looser. Could be a good team vibe.

Well, he came out to watch the Vet Worlds this weekend at Glen Helen. I was pitted next to his friends and family. Spoke to him a few times and his cute little boxer and my dog hung out as well. Grinning

But he was super chill and just out enjoying the races with his family and friends. So he for sure is a fan of the sport and loves moto!!

Hey, you’re that fast guy I saw on the podium with Kurt Nicoll and Ty Davis in the 50 pro class, aren’t you? Nice work!

Almost... I am the moderately quick guy on the podium with the two fast guys hahaha

Thanks man, was a decent weekend. Though poor starts in the 125 Pasha race doomed me. especially with short motos both days (saturday due to the red flag and sunday due to time constraints)

He seems to dig his new Green scooter.

He doesn’t seem to dig Red flags.

Boom! A rider's rider. I really don't care how he does in 2022 because I'll still be a fan. Also can't wait to see how he does on the new team.

Billy Bolt

Was watching this and thinking how loose these guys are and the 2 guys in the championship hanging out together before the race. Then the pure joy and celebration after the race from all involved. I went the the US round at the TKO and first thing is see is Billy hanging out inside the Beta rig with Johnny Walker. Seemed way less tribal and just more fun. Also the Red Bull camera crew was everywhere it seemed and all the racers freely talked to them as well as mechanics and team managers. They seem to so get that its all about promoting the sport and having fun doing it. Its cool to hear Jason talk about just loving the sport and hanging out with fans and other racers. Good luck to him on his new team..

Seems like you used to hear all the stuff about Jason being a "dirty rider", and him having altercations with other riders...and just a lot of stuff that wasn't overly positive, and it was easy to put him in a negative category. I think I did that, and just wrote him off as not one of my favorite riders. That was stupid...but it's just a fact. I based that on what I read in the media, which is a ridiculous way to judge anyone or anything.

In the last couple of years, I've read stuff like this interview...and come to appreciate Jason Anderson as just a hard-riding, hard-working guy who just does things his way and doesn't follow the crowd. He loves the sport, and really loves to do his best. How can you fault that?

Looks like I'll be on the El Hombre wagon in 2022. I hope he does well on his new Kawasaki ride.

Excellent "self-observational-honesty" and I know I've fallen into the same trap...you hear something from a few sources...and then you find yourself believing it...

Believe it or not, it's something Jason knows...himself...about the media...and is at the core of "why"they do the whole Team Fried thing...

"Here it is. This is what we do: RAW. No-one-else's Editorializing."

Funny-thing about that 3 man band that he's a part of? They love what they do. The dudes are ALWAYS Sharing the Stoke.
