All I'd say is that its not going to be as impressive as a garmin gps watch like a fenix or something but does exactly what it says on the tin and is pretty much unbeatable in the £100-200 range

Check out the Garmin Instinct as well. It doesn't have a color display, but it can take a beating and the display is bright enough to read while exercising outside. I got rid of my Vantage M because I really had to strain to read the display outside.

Can you please describe this in better detail as to how that corresponds to the litpro app?

I use a Polar Vantage.

I couldn't get MXBuddy to work for me. I installed LitPro and it just immediately worked totally automatically. I am a slow vet rider - accuracy in lap times is not nearly as important as just counting the number of laps and getting me in the neighborhood. I would be more critical of the lack of accuracy if I was fast and chasing a championship or something. Also, I'm an apple user.

The heart rate tracking and Flow app has been a lifechanger for me. Having my cardio quantified and looking at my progress (or lack thereof) is very effective at holding me accountable and getting my ass off the couch. I had no idea this feature would have such an impact on my life.

He doesn't use the app, with his instinct he has to do a lap to get the distance then that sorts his lap times. If he takes different lines it alters the distance so .

Any sportswatch and Strava segments for laptimes.
For all normal people this is enough.
I have Garmin FR245 music which has wrist HR and offline Spotify which is great for running. I like push buttons only for "real use". Price wasn't too bad.

Garmin has Motorsports+ app which isn't greatest but will do if you want "live laptimes" from watch

Android phone + Racechrono app for most accurate lap/sector times for FREE. Accuracy can be increased even more with added 10Hz GPS receiver.
