Damn I wish we could go back in time.

I remember going as far as I could on my Z-50 up into the mountains behind my grandparents cabin in Frazier Park Ca. There’s isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to have that time again. The only thing I cared about was packing snacks in a backpack, catching lizards and, riding until nearly dark. Even if I could only ride up and, down my block,. I looked forward to it everyday after school.

That is way cool bro! I learned to ride on a Z50, my best friend Chris Neal's dad taught us both on this one.

That’s awesome. They were great bikes. Nearly indestructible to. My grandfather acted like he forgot our fishing poles on our trip to the cabin. He told me to go check the trunk to make sure they were there. I ran down to the car, opened it up and, boom, my life changed forever. I quit playing baseball, football and hung up Nintendo. I became so obsessed with dirt bikes. Started going to races instead of ball games. Watching the races every weekend instead of practice or a game. Some of my best memories include going to or watching the races with my grandfather.

With the recent resignation of John Gruden from saved emails of 11 years ago and now Urban Meyer is walking on real thin ice and the firing of Rachel Nichols over some BS recorded phone call from a year ago just really makes me Miss the ol days more than ever!
And by the writing on the wall it's only going to get worse. 🤬

Had this poster in my garage for years in my youth but only can imagine how upset the current generation of pussies who vote for Katlyn Jenner as WOMAN of the year and video games like Grand Theft Auto that glorifies violence, pimp and ho's is ok
but Elmer Fudd is not?

Call me confused and disgusted....Dry
Angry

My pop purchased this family boat 50 years ago when he turned 28. Still has it. Some pics / video over the last few years.

Don’t see them as much as in the 70’s and 80’s, but when you do they bring back a lot of memories!

Seems like everyone has SUV’s for the water now!! 🤣

Nice pics Ted. My neighbor growing up had a 78 Sanger flat bottom vdrive with a 392 hemi + blower. Dual quads and Zumies, sounded so good. I used to wander over to his garage as a young teen and learned to wrench there. He took me out to Don Pedro and Oroville a few times in it. In the early 90s lots of hot boats would congregate at those lakes. Damned good scene and times.

People r too greedy now a lot of them look for angles to take advantage of someone, instead of performing at there best. On the bol it has the brokers name , I called my broker pals to see if detention was paid on the load and how much. The load wasn’t his but he can research it, he charges 2 or 4 packs of cigs. My co lied to me countless times and of course never paid. So when I leave here I take them to court on wage theft charges ovr 10k is a felony and raise my fee too 90 per hr, hz ld securemet fee, etc File a report with the dot and work on a dot audit. Hv there insurance co contacted by deputy secretary and there insurance is dropped. Call other states and warn the dot of a dangerous carrier in there state. Laborer dept of fraud and extorsion , the bb. Take pics of plates on there 150k personal vehicles dirt cop pal gives me there address. Nobody likes to hear so how are things at 774 Torrence ave there address. And there greedy world starts too close in on them.
Git 'em son!

I think this counts as old days now. 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200S (bought it new 5/01).

1157cc in-line 4 tuned for torque (from factory) GSX-R motor, carburetors, air/oil cooled, 11.19 / 120mph in the 1/4 (at Sac Raceway) and still great for 2-up riding to Monterey, Lake Tahoe or anywhere in between.

Wife took the below picture 20 years ago at our house (San Jose) before I left to meet some friends (likely in Saratoga) and riding out to the coast (Santa Cruz).

Still have it. More good times on the menu and 38+ mpg taking it to work! 👍🏼

Nice bike Ted, I have the same year bike--crazy to think it's 21 years old! Woohoo

I sure do love riding it though, I cannot imagine needing much more in a street bike.

I sure am jealous of the awesome roads you get to ride that's for sure sure that's what I missed most about California the Canyon rides to the beach and the Mountains Angeles Crest highway the San Gabriel's were beautiful to ride in 20 minutes from home.

Believe it or not there are some great mountain roads in the White Mountains to ride in Arizona they're just farther to get to.
But on the plus side Saquaro Lake is only 20 min away if I need a break from the madness of Life... Smile

^ And bought it a few weeks after my Wife and I both got layed off from the same company / same day. Now that’s one way to use a severance! Wife’s approval even better.

We had a good time that Summer of ‘01!!
