I didn’t say that Cooper was ‘virtue signaling’ but that an awful lot of this type of thing certainly feels like that sort of thing.
An example would be all the photos on social media with 13 beers at an empty table for a photo op. Especially when it’s shared by a healthy young person to show their ‘patriotism’ as a replacement for serving themselves.

Cooper Webb was honoring that, and your post is not just an unpopular opinion, it is ignorant and an insult to the men and women who lost their lives. People who understand that, do not feel their hearts warmed by Webb's gesture, they respect it because of the price that was paid.
i think advocating for policies that prevent then next 13, and the next 13 after that, is more respectful to these 13. i hate it so much for them and theirs, that i want it to never happen again to the next family.

But if you are looking for change, real change, change beyond "Advocating for policies", what do you suggest is a real solution? Simply advocating for change isn't going to cut since most people don't want these wars, and you posting here isn't going to do shit to change anything. So let's hear your solution.

i'm not going to go deep into politics, but i think advocating for better people and policies is exactly what's needed for real change. look at which candidate(s) last year consistently have voted against foreign intervention/american imperialism—they're there.
