Wow, the peace these guys unleash in qualifying is impressive. During the week RE772 was right there during pro day practice, but today in show time a big difference, by no means I'm taking a shot at the EMX250 rider. But it's eye opening the ability the top guys have when finding an extra gear.

The stop watch nationals were alive this week. Rick posting times that were a couple of seconds off Roczen and Jett, but faster than Forkner got folk excited.

Let's be real, Rick is an amazing rider and this is an amazing story but he's third behind Horgmo in EMX250 this year. Horgmo was 20th in MX2 in 2020.

Expectations for Rick this weekend should be points and that'll be a massive win in itself. I think he'll be in the 15th-25th range today.

337 Slade Smith from South Africa. 26th in group A.

Interesting note, his father Wayne Smith is a 12 x SA Champ.
