Josep Garcia with the individual overall lead, not surprising. Although Verona from Italy led and was fastest most the day and had one decent crash that set him back it sounds like.

Mateo was on the GTBN Team - the main / #1 / Prime US club team.
Nate Ferderer who posted earlier was put 'up' to that team, from the MO Mudders Team, and Kobee, as you said, was 'there' with his family and they got a Sherco for him. A bit of serendipity I guess, but such bad luck for Mateo.

Go to 6.20 : a bloke comes through on a BMW GS Herbert Schek replica / 'Jumbo' class bike. Yes, he may have dramas, but bloody hell, riding something like that, that was meant for supremely talented Man Mountains like Schek, is a big task. So ease up on any piss taking on the bloke. Most of us would end up on our arse through this stuff on a modern bike that weighs much less than half the weight of that bike.

If that's a genuine BMW 'Jumbo' class bike, he may be on the most valuable bike in the event. And, certainly The Heaviest one. I hope he finishes.
When you see some gun rider just come into it things like that logged corner, clearing all three logs in one go, it's a bit, (to me, at least) stunning. I'm not a fan of that sort of stuff, by the way - but it's been a regular thing over the last decade. I just go the the outside, and 'plop' over each one - if I can.
Italy is putting a clinic, pretty cool to see, I can only imagine how it would feel to dominate on home soil in front of your friends and family.

I too don't really care for the man made obstacles, we don't need to incorporate endurocross into everything, some things are fine just being the way they are.
I'd put Garcia up against anyone in the world on almost any track for straight up sprint speed. The guy is amazing.
The way the Euros corner is so fun to watch, just completely smooth and on the throttle the whole way, making a nice arch usually...very little stop and go and stabbing the throttle...they always look so fluid and trusting in the grip of their tires.
I expected our US guys to be a little closer to the front but I don't think they have the level on the hardpack that they do on other surfaces. Still, 3rd place as a Team is a damn good place to be, I still remember the days we'd send our "heroes" to ISDE and watch them get smoked ever year. If we can't win I'm still glad to see us in the hunt for a podium.

I watch those videos...and I think there would never be an ISDE in America...yet we have far more open riding area than europe does?
