How does that even happen on a Yamaha with the cover over the cap? Unless the cap wasn’t tightened.

I’m having flashbacks to my 2005.5 KTM 250SXF with the quarter turn gas cap. What a terrible design. Every couple months I’d get a new gas cap that was “revised” and it would still eventually dump fuel on my crotch. Pinch

I had it happen on the yamaha. At first i was like geez i need to ride more, my ass is already chaffed. Then it got to the point where i realized what was going on but it was too late……..

Oh yea, back in 81'. I can't remember what happened, but I went down in a 1st turn crash and the overflow tube was ripped off, and I'm pretty sure the cap got jacked up. By the end of the moto, my whole lap was soaked in gas. I ended up finishing the moto, rode straight back to the pits, ripped off my boots/pants and sat down and dumped the cooler of ice on my lap. That shit hurt.

Yeah. I had fuel on my pants from a loose filler and accidentally hit the single wire kill button at full noise which earthed through my nuts to the bare metal patch on the tank and we went up in flames.
Fortunately I was beside the frog pond and rode straight in with little harm done.

Regular fuel on the balls sucks, but VP Pro6 on the balls is like having a mixture of fire, ice, contact cleaner and lemon juice all on your sack.
