Great episode!

WTS is one of the few podcasts I look forward to when it comes out and there's rarely a poor episode. I also really like RV as a co-host but agree that (in this particular episode) 4 people would probably be too much.

If I could offer one piece of constructive criticism I really think Ping needs to brush up on his MXGP knowledge. When Hunter spoke about people he used to race against, he mentioned Mitch Evans & Jed Beaton and it seemed like Ping had never heard of them. Fair enough if you've never heard of the guys down in 20th but to not know one of the current factory Honda riders in the premier class is a little embarrassing in my opinion.

Ping has managed to really come up with some unique guests. We get in depth looks at the past, RD, Guy Cooper, Keith McCarthy etc. and we get to see the stars of today (ET3 last year) and the future, the Lawrence Bros. WTS is killing it.

That was one of the best ones that's come out of WT, I enjoyed the part with Darren( their dad) the most. He seems like a breathe of fresh air when it comes to mini dads and has a good old school mentality.

I find it weird watching the part with the dad cause he doesn't match up with the poster Silver spurs.. Or is that not true?

Just got finished listening and what a fantastic interview that was. The whole family seem like true grafters and as others have said, they have the perfect balance of confidence, determination and respectfulness which makes them so likeable. Jett has clearly been the more focused upon brother in the last couple of years and I'm a big fan of his but I have to say that Hunter really impressed me throughout that entire podcast. Really excited to see their careers progress and hope they both have some success in their futures!

Also, while I love the dynamic that 2 hosts bring to the experience, that was really enjoyable just having Ping as the only interviewer. The conversation definitely flowed a bit more naturally and there was mucu less overtalking. Great episode Ping and the crew!
I think one of the reasons that there was less overtalking is it was obvious who the little brother was. Jett may be the best of the two on the track and will not give his big bro any quarter but he shows a lot of respect and defers to his big brother in that setting.

Savatgy's dad in another thread outed SilverSpurs as papa Lawrence. He has a, well, interesting posting style that rubs almost the entire board the wrong way. I have no idea if it's true or not.

I've just read through Silverspurs' post history and there is not a chance in hell that he is Darren Lawrence.
Sure he refers to Hunter and Jett a lot but only in ways that confirms there's no way this is Darren.

I couldn't find the post from Savatgy's dad as I have have no idea what the user name is, so I don't know the context, but in what world would Savatgy's father want to try and make this connection?

Look at the stupid speculation it's generated having some people thinking that Darren is some keyboard warrior on Vital.

That was a great podcast.

Hunter really comes across as a smart and insightful kid.
It is crazy the sacrifice their folks made to sell up everything and move to Europe. Paid off for them, but sadly for most it does not.

Cool story none the less though

Excellent questions and I wouldn't worry about researching every pro rider in the world.
Your guests have plenty of that info which you let them tell anyway.
This episode is the best I've seen. Sometimes I'll watch the aussie dude on Gypsy tales but get a sick of F bombs every 2nd sentence. You're a class act Ping, keep it up.

I'd love to hear more about Hunter's issues with foods/diet and how he fixed it...? He said his body was cannibalizing itself and he was eating healthy but felt like doo doo during his first yr or so in US, but didn't go into much detail. He mentioned he was eating/drinking almond milk, spinach and broccoli.... etc... Was he vegan or what the heck was going on and what's his new diet? Found that pretty interesting..!

That famous talented Donuts rider gonna be a freak of nature ? Unlikely but as Roczen, he love talking.

So much hype with these two. It becomes annoying.

A lot of Americans hate themselves. They just rooting for foreigners over and over again.

You sound butt hurt that the Lawrences' truthfully called out the sub standard aspects of GP MX racing in Europe rather than having a legit beef about their riding performances.

Those two articulate, English speaking Aussie boys, phenoms or not, are just what dull as dog dung MXGP needs but where unable to see.

ProMX/SX knows value and that is why they are rightfully promoted.

What podcast did you listen to?
I thought they were really complimentary of their euro experience.

And also what MXGPs are you watching? They are great. Just like the racing in the US

I seen savatgys dads post, and for some reason I feel like it’s him. I don’t know why. Doesn’t really matter either way, but it’s cool guys like savatgys dad waste their time with us regular folks.

I m not butt hurt at all. I just don't like when a rider takes too much lights over others riders. I m also pretty sure that Geerts, Renaux even Benistant or Guadanini slap Jett's ass all day long.

So hyped, so marketing. Look how cool and funny riders end up. They win mostly nothing.

Remenber what Pastrana said about him and Carmi.

The Cool and funny approach of the sport, this is for losers because you can not be 100% focusing on your goal.

You distract yourself too much with outside stuffs.

Have nice day.

Jett, and Hunter, served their time in Europe, and before that obviously in Australia.

He now going well in all aspects of the sport in the US. He is the highest earning 250 rider.

Perhaps if you want your four boys to 'slap Jetts ass' all day long they could go to America and do it?

And what's wrong with Americans rooting for foreigners? Plenty of foreigners root for Americans. Jeff Emig is my all time favourite and I'm not an American, I very much like a handful of French riders and I'm not huge on France personally, Pit Beirer was a favourite growing up and he's German, be proud of where you come from by all means, support your country however you can, but to have a problem with people liking professional athletes from overseas? That's a plain stupid thing to try and make a point out of man, as is people having fun and marketing themselves smartly means they're losers, that's just not the case...

And Ping, you did a sterling job, it was an awesome show and not that my opinion matters but I couldn't fault anything, but a little constructive criticism is a good thing man, don't sweat it.

Are you going to apply the same criticism of Jett Lawrence not knowing many pro riders earlier than 2010? I think it's all in context and you got to let some stuff go right?

Yep, RV was a fantastic co-host when he was on. He added a lot to the conversation, and had some great questions.

Ferrandis did it. Geerts, that's never gonna happen. Ditto for Renaux I think but Benistant has the perfect style to doing great in SX and he will going to the US in my opinion.

Question, Jett and Hunter are going to the MXoN ?
