I like the tire machine the Pirelli guy was using around the 31 minute mark. It would almost seem he was way ahead of his time. I wonder why we don't see that machine today?

Dude if you watch Yves Demarie #22 on the first lap, he "scrubs" so hard at about the 5:45 mark...it may have been a mistake but he saved it and if you pause it he is pretty "scrubbed" on the takeoff. Also, Emig came close to death second moto when he crashed into that bridge! It would be cool if more of our legends raced races like Burnworths So Cal Vintage like DeHoop & Burnworth did last year. Seeing Ryno on the 86 CR at Loretta's kinda proves to me that new bikes...while awesome and way easier to ride fast, are a small part of being competitive or even just having fun on dirtbikes.

I raced 250 intermediate there that year. I think it was the day after or before the pro day. Holy shit I got my ass kicked. Should rode novice.

So much fun watching Emig winning the 1st moto on a 125 32 years ago while also watching him on a Husky 150 at Loretta's last week. That's dedication from one of the American greats!
I didn't realize that the Cagiva's were that competitive.
I saw Healy win Commotion By the Ocean 2 on a KTM around that era. He barely squeaked out a win against Jean Michelle Bayle.

Yes, and it was sponsored/hosted by XTREME.
