he placed 2nd in moto 3. Last lap his chain came off and he put it back on (and maybe got some help? camera didn’t make it super clear I don’t think) and somehow still finished 2nd. he was given the #1 plate on the podium.

edit: ~40 sec left on the timer, 1.5 hours into today’s livestream. a track worker (yellow event shirt, headset) definitely helped him get the chain back on.
That sucks for Justin, he should of waved off the help from the track worker, unless you are trapped under your bike they probably aren't supposed to help a rider.

Did the kid lie about his age when he entered the qualifiers? How does he make it all the way to the national and through 2 motos before someone finally figures out he's 15 years old?

From what I gather his age wasn’t the issue in regards to the class. His age was only an issue in regards to the bike. It’s an open class so he could ride it at 15 on a 250 but not a 450. The 16 year old rule is an AMA rule.
In the Andrew Short interview on Gatedrop he mentions the Euro’s on big bikes at 15 while so many U.S. riders are still on Supermini’s when discussing MXoN.

Thanks. When I initially looked up the results they had him as dq'd now they have him in second with a first overall. They must have determined that the help was not his fault.

He,s from oak lawn that’s crazy, that’s the south side Chicago. I,m sure there in a good neighborhood, but Go a few blocks east and your in a war zone on 95th st. To go riding would be difficult, 95th st to the tri state to i55 to a track in Joliet. That could be 1-3 hrs. A lot of sitting traffic. I,m sure they leave early at 5.30 am for lighter weekend traffic. Mendota is on i39 n of i80, sunset ridge is near, mc park mini red Bud further north, Byron track further n. Vet lay out- used to be very busy technical track near Wi. His parents are from Poland, largest polish population in America live in Chicago. I,ve been in polish markets for fresh cut meat sandwiches, restaurants, bars in Chicago . Polish brandy will make you laugh your face off. I,m sure his parents are big Alvin Chachinski fans, most famous polish polka musician in the world. He played at the White House in 76 or 80 with willie Nelson. The Chicago polish by the car loads went to dance land in Pulaski Wi. To get on live tv dancing. I was in there as a kid, very packed and rowdy. I had Father’s Day dinner with Alvin in 18,19 at a super club. Crazy just goes to show ya, you can be from anywhere and be super fast.

Poor Kilroy. That freaking sucks. I like the Zooks, but took him forever to get that thing restarted.

Anyone know why Blake grindstaff got disqualified out of the C class?
Just curious, I know he had won at least one moto.

Levi Kitchen 1:51.711 today. Staggering lap. Romano in the next race had a 1.56.751. I know Levi is 20, but the growth of this kid in two years is incredible. He has a real chance to win a moto in the remaining 250 races if his fitness holds out for 30 +2. Looking forward to it, Kitchen has a new fanboy here.

The announcing team (minus Weege) has been awful at mispronouncing names/ adding to them, and calling riders different names for the ENTIRE MOTO on a number of occasions.. I get that there's a lot going on, but read the dang entry list to match names and numbers.

Dishonest harmony, bro... Everything is so great.

It's all good, these types of people will be on box cars in a couple years.

Anytime something positive about Kitchen is said, some dude is downvoting everything.

I agree though. His progression has been something to see for sure. From what I’ve seen, he has a great race craft. I think he can definitely get some too 5’s these last few races. He is on best 250f right now as well.

5 seconds faster, that’s a lot. I wonder how many riders just throw a couple heater laps in. Not carrying if they finish the moto. Shoot wide then to the inside in the sand section, get in 5th wo and hang off the back. Ten Commandments shoot wide and launch as far as possible, up shift into 5th in the air and pin it.

Hell of a ride for Ryno in that one. Goes down and still comes back on the dinosaur to within a few seconds of Emig at the end.

Curious if respectable results on a very old bike will translate to more business for Ryno's schools?

Wow, Romano crashes on lap 1 and drops to 25th. Puts in an incredible charge and gets to 5th which clinches the title. Appears to have crashed just before the white flag and has dropped to about 10.

Also, I am sorry but I think both the grid pick and the point system could be changed at LL (quali times + the standard 26 23 21 etc). I.e. if Deegan wins the last moto, he would get a shot at the overall podium, but finishing around the top 10 would not be that logical with these scores (40+1+1=42). 1 DNF here and it is over.
