Fastest lap on lap 15 and it was 1sec faster than Roczens fastest. This dude never gives up, He REALLY deserves some cred.

As soon as I saw him get a start in moto 1, I thought ‘these guys could be eff’d’. Glad it turned into a battle, because that was fun to watch.

Seeing him and AP holding two of the top three spots in points gives me warm feelings inside.

Gd, I’m so glad the outdoors are here.

250s and 450s are not comparable and we have seen it many times. Especially this year the 450 class is insanely difficult for even the some of the best riders to get top 10. For Ferrandis to start of his rookie season like this i think is a surprise.

He sure seems to ride at the absolute edge of control, sometimes just past the edge. It will be interesting to see if he can continue at that pace.

Totally agree. He rides the bike bike just like he did on the small bike-right on that edge. He has it all-fitness, race craft, tenacity, and isn't scared to twist the throttle. He is a legit threat to win this title.

Yea ferrandis is definitly starting to lock it up. He’s getting better and better with time on the 450. Add a tad more speed, some close contact and a few punts and vital might melt down a few times this season over this guy.

Nice to see a rider gives everything he has from start to finish and lasts 2 35 minute motos without fading one bit. That’s pretty impressive

Dylan has more hunger and desire to win than anyone out there. Look at his post race interviews, the guy is so totally commited to winning and on top of that he is the best conditioned athlete out there. Never gets tired and is willing to take some chances to pass people that most riders aren't. The Star racing Yamaha is so much better this year as well. I was watching him and Barcia racing yesterday and his bike was dialed in, the suspension looked so much smoother than Barcia's. My only concern with Dylan is his desire to win pushes him to the ragged edge and a DNF/injury could cost him a run at the title.Let's also recognize DV's efforts because Dylan has gotten better every year he has been here

Count me in that group. I liked his race craft from the first SX after he came over. Ferrandis has been a great addition to the US SX and MX series.

Really curious what Dylan’s workout/training regimen is like. Dude is an animal late in motos and it’s not like the guys he’s passing are gassed, he’s just that much more fit. Reminds of Baggett and the El Chupacabra days when you could count on him making a late moto charge every moto.

Cetogene regime (for the food), as far as I heard...

There are a lot of fast younguns, but DF usually stays on two wheels - really helps with the finishing position.

I obviously can’t tell you this but it’s pretty hard. I wouldn’t want to do it

What ever he’s doing it’s definitely working for him. He looked like he was riding on the edge a few times & was able to save it. That takes some strength & durability.

Seems like the Vital members don’t share your opinion. It won’t happen. The industry thinks I’m a clown and don’t think Dylan’s success has anything to do with me training & coaching him the last 4 seasons. I have no street cred for whatever reasons… Doesn’t really matter because I don’t do it to land a big job with a big paycheck and a nice team shirt. I do it for my own satisfaction and prove myself I can “make” the strongest guy out there who can win premier class races.

Damn straight. Love watching him rip from gate drop to checkers. He's won me over.

I'm happy if it doesn't happen: it's not for you, David.
You're a loner and a rebel, not a corporate guy!
And you know they would try and keep you from opening your mouth...
