Tracks these days have long flowing corners especially this one, how about some Tight corners that are stop and go where riders have to use the brakes and RACE out of the corner from almost a dead stop.
Actually they did that as a track change to Lakewood when I inspected yesterday. The long downhill from center of the track. Probably the fastest downhill section has a huge single right before the left turn back up. Looks like it's dug deep to, going to be hot, but if they can keep it moist, there should be some good rutts as well. the track has been dug deep. Also going to be in the 90's so going to be some fuel problems I'm guessing. Shaping up to be a good track.

About 2 minutes in...

1. Appears to be good track changes; I love it when facilities change it up year to year. Glen Helen may have been the best at doing so, even reversing track directions at times.

2. MX Sports - Please give us video like this every week once everything's set up! Much better than the animated, and often incorrect, track maps currently available.

Similar to what they tried a few years back then reverted back to the original layout.

Nice with some changes. Now change the way the tracks are prepped too, stop over watering it before the qualifying and stop ripping it too deep that results in rutcross races.

Or even rip half the track and leave the other half firm.

Drove by Lakewood a couple years ago when I was in town for a concert and I’ll be damned if that isn’t one of the coolest locations for a track. I would LOVE to spin some laps on that hill before my track riding days are over.
