Still nothing on the Bell dealer site so I'm guessing these were only through there website. Lame

I think this first run is only available direct through the website. 1000 units. We won't have access to them as a dealer until this fall when they do the regular production helmets. I heard August 10th.

...It looks like it has all the features that the AlpineStars SM10 helmet had for almost 4 years now.

Glad that Bell is finally catching up.

Not advocating for either brand, but...I am pretty sure the Astars does not use Spherical Mips, or EPP, as this new Bell does. So, your 'all the same' comment I believe is possibly innaccurate.

It does seem awfully similar to the alpine stars that’s for sure. I am a fan boy and have had five or six Bell helmets in the last 10 years. This one I might have to see in person because it doesn’t really do much for me especially at that price tag. I have a fly formula right now and really happy with it except the mouthpiece it’s not as close as I like from the bells.

It’s the same principle just a different design.

I am all for quality helmets. But $850! I am sticking with my Arai's. Best helmets I've ever worn.

Lol the alpine stars is more similar to the regular Moto nine than any other Bell at least as far as safety goes

Thank god a credible helmet engineering expert finally shows up to comment here!

Can you explain the basis behind your expert statement, Dr. “Mehoff” ?

They are nice but I feel as if the shell is too stiff and they don’t have enough between the shell and my head. #1 in comfort

Agree. I've been wearing them for numerous years. Too me they are the most comfortable Helmet I've ever worn.

the alpine stars uses a multi density EPS liner with a MIps System just like the Standard Moto nine. The bell flex, 6d, and fly all use systems to address low speed impacts that cause concussions. Based on your response it seems that that you have taken quite a few hits in a helmet that does not Address this like the alpine stars.

Was at my local dealer this morning. They had one of each size in stock, they look really nice.
Since I am off the bike for a year I won’t be buying one just yet.
Each one in individualed numbered, if they had 351 I would probably of bought it to put away.

If anyone is interested I have a small left at work. Sold my medium and large already.
