I don't know what's worse, possible mud race at probably the best track this season or this Rutledge guy being back for Atlanta.

GODZIL.. ZOBITO just never liked him for some reason.

I'm starting to think they're the same age and that he was into Mathilde, but loss that battle a long time ago. That or he got lapped in every race back when they were on minis. Grinning

Or maybe he doesn't like that his interviews go on for an hour. Grinning

Aucune idée!

Edit: I know, Marv stole your beloved cat, lol.
Mav', always had the feeling you're pretty sharp, I'm sure you can come up with some more creative theory.
Wink

Regarding Musquin, apart from being vastly overrated since, hmmm, forever, let's just say he has a very unique personality.
You dig it... or not.
I have to say he's amazingly exasperating to me. And don't even get me started with his lovely wife.
Sorry.

I like Ferrandis, though.
And DV.
And JMB.

I'm not sure how a 2 time world champ is over-rated, but you're entitled to your opinion. He might not have won a bunch of titles in the US, but he's put in very solid results over the years.

I also like Dylan and DV. JMB is before my time, so I can't comment on him.

What about Sorby? Grinning

Not a Rutledge fan, but I'm going to go with mudder at possibly the best track of the year.

The reason is simple. Only one of them has limited screen time which is a good thing. We can also mute him.

There's no way of getting around the weather.

Agreed. I can mute that plaid wearing toilet bowl floater. Can't "mute" the weather.

This just sucks if the weather ruins that gorgeous track. I can't remember the last time I was so excited for a race just because of the track.

I live 40 miles west of Atlanta and it was supposed to rain the last 2 days. We have not had a single drop.

Im soooooo bummed .com about ATL1 possibly being a murder. Of course its gonna be something like that when we have a new style or attempt at evolution to advance supercross….. Ive been so excited about the ATL rounds and the setup, we haven't seen anything like it since charlotte motor speedway.
To me, this is a big deal and a great way to get some new eyeballs and interest on supercross and of course… .its a murder lol….. Par for the course 🤬

Practice will most likely get cancelled and they'll go straight into a postponed qualifying session.

I don't think the race itself will be postponed due to the broadcast schedule being set to go live for 3pm. This race is also airing on regular NBC as well, so that's kind of a big deal.

IMO, SX mud races suck.
Updated Schedule.

No shit... First laps are quali laps. Probably going to only get 5 laps.. 1 hot lap??? The intensity continues to rise.

I've been watching the storms on radar since midnight central time. The storms have 3 separate lines of heavy showers with lighter rain mixed around all 3. Currently it extends from Shreveport, LA to the Alabama and Georgia state line. They have weakened somewhat overnight after reaching Tuscaloosa, AL, and have had a hard time pushing east of Anniston, GA but there is no question this storm complex WILL continue eastward. I am sure once daylight the system will intensify as well. This race will be a mudder, and the rain is going to come in waves. Not good

Racing in rain is real similar to watching it. You gotta have fun and pretend you enjoy it.

120 miles north in Chattanooga and it's raining here.

Hate to see that awesome looking track get soaked and torn apart, but I look at it like Loretta's...one track, three races, and 3 different racing conditions. Worked out well in SLC last year and made things more interesting IMO. Hoping for a dry track, but not gonna let rain dampen my spirits. Smile

His titles were a loooooong time ago...
When a factory KTM had 8hp on anything else...

As for Sorby, let's just say he is... unique.

Woah, that many dumb stuff in so little words?
You're a champ.

On a more serious note, I really hope the weather's not gonna mess such an amazing track.

Long time ago or not, he's still a 2 time world champion and no one lucks into back to back championships. He's still a front runner and a podium guy, so again I don't think he's overrated.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

And, Sorby is definitely an acquired taste. He's a bit of an oddball. Grinning

What was it, 2017? Marv caught fire towards the end of the nationals, won most of the later motos, raced a bunch of off season races, the monster million, every race he entered for months he won. Then got hurt at A1. That year should have been his year, IMO. Best current rider without a 450 title.

Yes. Light rain on and off since about 7 am. Looking at the radar it seems like it would be raining harder but it is not yet. No wind so it is a slow moving storm so far.

MX2 World Champ 2009 & 2010
250 SX East Champ 2015

Edit: I think his best shot at a 450 SX title was actually last year, but he was hurt. Should've pulled out of outdoors and had his knee fixed then.

He's no slouch on a dirt bike and not sure how he's overrated.

Race will run rain or shine. Lightning could cause delays but the race would still run. This is a fairly mellow rain event, there has been no lightning as it has come through my area.

It won't.

But in the rare event that it does get postponed, check the Supercross Live Facebook, Twitter, Instagram pages along with NBC and NBCSN pages.
