What the hell is going on with Thor? just about every gear set in their line is out of stock everywhere, and has been for since last summer, unless you are a size 40.

I know that there are shortages everywhere on moto stuff, and sales are surging, but other gear lines have most of their stuff available somewhere - trying to find any Thor pants in 32 has been harder than trying to find toilet paper last March.

I'm used to their stuff and have been wearing it for decades, but if they dont get their shit together soon and get some gear into the US, I'm off the bandwagon.

Parts Unlimited , WTF? Did JT Racing take over your line or something?
So, idk if you know this, but the ports are pretty jammed right now, and its hard to get stuff from over seas in a timely matter. If you look, its not just Thor, a lot of brands are having issues getting there new stuff out on time.

Kind of wish I would’ve went a size up on the pulse pants but no one had 38’s. Why isn’t there any stretch material around the hips? Felt like I was struggling to move my legs around in tight turns. Good motivation to loose a few I suppose.

I just bought 3 kits. An O’Neal kit, Fly kit, and a Thor kit. Now I am 6’1” 350lbs I wear a size 44x32-42x32 in jeans. None of the size 44 gear fit me. Way too tight in legs. Granted I used to powerlift competitively and have massive thighs because of it. I ended up with a size 48 pant that I had to cinch the waist right as possible to keep from falling off my ass. My 3XL jerseys I had to make into 3/4 length sleeves and cut the neck out of and even they fit like a compression fit. I just ordered a 5XL Fly jersey from Revzilla. Hopefully it doesn’t fit like a sausage casing.

They need to make gear that fits the regular Joe.

Just got an email from Rocky MTN saying the Thor Prime Pro Cast midnight/white jersey and pants were discountinued.
Also with stuff all being gone and stuck on containers in the ports. Its slowly starting to trickle in. I work at a Michaels warehouse (arts and crafts) and we are getting about 450 containers in the next couple weeks. Saying China ports are really pumping shipments out. I reckon a lot of gear and parts will be replenished in the next couple months.

I have been complaining about this for years. I am not quite as big as you as I am about 6' 270lbs but it makes no sense to me as you get up into the size 40 waist that these gear companies think that guys with that waist size would have skinny legs. The only 2 sets of gear that I have found that fit is Alias and JT Racing. I bought a set of Shift gear and that was joke trying to get over my thighs. I swear when these guys are designing this stuff, they totally lose concepts of those body parts being much larger than average. My legs are beefy as well from playing soccer most of my early years and then switching to basketball, football and baseball.

I am 5’9” 190 and my legs don’t fit well in size 34 Troy lee gp pants I tried on. Answer don’t fit me any better but fly fits fine.

I buy a lot of gear...the sizing has definitely changed, that is being smaller. I've worn the same sz for 40 years and seems the last couple 2/3 years I have to go one size up on everything Fox, Thor, Fasthouse and Shift. The only ones true to size seem to be Fly and Answer.
what about TLD? I've been out since 2014 or so and am picking up a new bike this weekend and need some gear. Still have my old pants/jersey but I've lost a bunch of weight so I need new pants at least...wear 31's in jeans but I have big thighs..was going to order some TLD gear in 32's..now you have me second guessing...

I always have to go up a size to have a comfortable amount of room in the knees for braces. I wear a 29" pants normally but run 34" for moto and cinch down the adjustable straps for the waist. I might try 32s but 34 works

Yup. Talked with my dealer up here in Alberta. Little to no gear, all small, medium, large helmets sold out. Either XS or XXL helmet sizes. Time to sell old gear at premium prices, or learn to sew/hem.

I was having trouble finding gear and I stumbled upon canvasmx.com. I designed my own gear and added my own logos. Their designer tool is pretty cool. I placed my order on 3/31 and it arrived today in my mailbox. I have no idea how it will hold up yet but the gear looks pretty nice as all logos, name, and number are printed into the fabric. It looks factory instead of the typical iron-on look. It fits pretty true to size and I would say order up if you are in between sizes. So if you need gear quick you might want to take a look.

The last pair of TLD I purchased was 4 years ago and sizing was accurate. Don't know if that has changed though.

Lmao! I wasn’t including myself. I meant in general shouldn’t have to go up in size on gear. It should fit true to size. Seems like everything is so tight fitting these days too.

Reviving this thread, just received my 2022 Thor gear it’s the pulse line. I’m normally a 30 and these pants are so tight I can barely get them on. I’m not even sure a 32 will be enough. They also are really loose throughout the knee area but tight from the thigh up. I have pulse gear from 2019 that’s perfect fitment. I called motosport and set up a return and 32’s are out of stock so it’ll be another month at least after already waiting 2 months. Kind of disappointing but it seems like that’s the way things are these days.

My recent TLD stuff has been all over the map. I'm 6'1" and 175 lbs. I'm usually spot-on at 34 pants and Large Jersey. My recent pair of GP pants in 34 feel like they are about size 30. Plus, the cut is so short on the front ("athletic fit,") that I have to tuck my jersey in walking around the pits so people don't see my manscaping. Holy crap there's no front to those pants! I don't like them at all.
My previous pair of SE pants were too small in 34 also, so I got 36. Those are so loose that I have the hip adjusters cranked in all the way - so much so that the rear and the panels under the adjusters are all bunched up and don't lay flat on my skin. I'm still swimming in them.

Really? I have not received my 2022 Thor stuff yet it is on permanent backorder.

The Thor pants last year were NOT 32, more like 30.5. Sucks that it appears that they did it again! Gotta cancel my order I guess and go up a size...

Mine just came in today from motosport. I got the pulse line. I’ve never had this problem with Thor till now. The last few years I went with the prime pro line and it fit perfectly. I’m really hoping the 32 will fit properly or I may just end up sending the jersey back as well and getting a refund. I know for sure I’d be swimming in a 34 with my chicken legs

Yeah the pulse pant is the same fit as last year and I bump up a size too. I wear braces and have bird legs and I don't think the knee has a lot of extra room.

I did just get in the all new prime kits and holy shit they are amazing. Yes I'm a rep for them but I wear all this stuff and its a big step up in ventilation over last years prime. The fit of the pants is ridiculous and the jersey is way more vented. I'd say the jersey is a touch more snug fitting but its super stretchy so whatever you normally wear should be good.

I wonder why the pulse line’s pants are so tight? I typically thought that was one of the looser fitting lines they offered

I just received my 22 prime gear also. The pants fit amazing and the jersey is super comfortable as well. The gear is defiantly slim fit but I like it. Also it vents really well.

Super slim fit. Almost compression. I ran a Medium Jersey for 21 and this 22 prime gear is wayyyy different. AND super lightweight breathable fabric. Will not wear under 60°F weather. Too cold for sure

I ended up getting some 2019 se pants in 32 and a medium 2021 gp jersey since they don’t make a solid color jersey in se pro or ultra. Waist fits perfect on the pants but the thighs and crotch are pretty baggy. I have pretty big thighs for my waist size too. Was going to order some se ultra 2022 pants in 32 again and see how they fit. Sounds like they might be too big..

I have always bought 32 and with my new se pro pants I need to fully sinch the buckle so they don’t fall off my ass, I was a little surprised by that. The lower legs fit pretty tight with tld braces but roomy up top.

I used to be the UK guy for Thor at Madison distribution and the Prime Pro is still hands down the most comfortable race wear ive ever had. I would choose it over anything, and it lasted well too. Usually the thinner stuff doesnt last but the Prime Pro does.

Also, classy race number you have!
