Finally able to post a legit "Spoke with my wallet" thread! lol. Picked up this wonderfully cared for, low hour 1996 CR 125 last night from another member on here. I had magazine cut outs of this exact bike in my binder in high school, dreaming of one day owning one. Fast forward 20 or so years and finally have one in the garage. Plan (as of now) is to ride it a bit, then full frame up resto..... Stay tuned lol. Thanks again Michael for letting me take this bad boy home and full filling a 20+ year dream.

Sweet bike! But isn't a "legit" spoke with my wallet thread is when someone purchases a new 2 stroke? Proving to manufactures that there is still a market for new 2 stroke development.

Nice score! I really wanted to buy that bike but my wife would have killed me. A 1997 was my first big bike and I loved it so much. Hope you enjoy it. Cool

Awesome! Remember drooling over that exact same bike in hs also. Rode RM’s back then but I always had a “thing” for those Honda’s 😂

Threw some fresh gas in her last night and she is alive!!!! Started 2nd kick, started and stayed running 4th kick. Not too shabby for a bike that has not been started since 2018 lmao. Couldn't help myself and already started ordering some parts, but man i love this thing so far!! Started my 03 CR125 right after and there is just something about the bark of the older Hondas that the 2000 generation just didnt have.....

Nice. I can’t complain, she just let me buy a brand new YZ250F. Two bikes in a month would have been too much. Laughing

I had the 97 and then later an 02. The 97 had a faster feeling engine for sure. It definitely pulled harder once it started making power.

You gotta spread that shit out man! lol I sold her on it based on selling some of the other bikes, but damn - garage full of Hondas just looks sick! Smile
