There is nothing you can tell Ken right now, he has to gain that last bit of confidence on his own. You can’t talk someone into being confident, they have to do it themselves.

Webb is very head strong, confident, and has great race craft, you’re going to have to deal with that the rest of your career.
Uptite, I agree with you regarding the tracks being a little on the easy side or at least not technical enough but thats a whole another debate. You know, these modern 450's combined with all the team resources will always be a challenge for even the top track builders.

Regarding Roczen, it's been said that he is too much of a gentleman whilst in the heat of a tight battle. We all can agree on that one.

He would have had a better chance for the win if he got a little rough with Webb, we know Webb would not hesitate to put a move on anyone when its counts.

They both rode great and were pretty even matched until Ken started having problems doubling into the sand. Tomac would have been a factor had he not hit the bale.

I say Roczen bounces back with a few wins but it may be too late. He'd need to put Webb down or could use a little help from Sexton.

Not disagreeing with you, your points are valid.

They aren't telling him anything he doesn't already know. He needs to win.

I'm going to go there....I know factory bikes are lighter than stock and all, but I think part of the reason Cooper can be so strong at the end is because he is handling less bike weight. In a scenario where the guys are so close, a tenth here and a tenth there, I think even a 5 lb difference could have a subtle effect down the stretch of a main event. Not saying that to take anything away from Coop, I'm just saying that he and that machine are a lethal combination.

How Ken and Kehoe debrief is up to them but it is plain to see where Webb made up time.

I'm a KR fan and would like to see him win the Championship but humble enough to give Webb the credit for his results.

This is exactly right. Ken lost time on multiple laps in the sand while Webb had that section figured out. Not a talent, toughness, fitness, or mental thing. Track was changing as the race went on, and Webb figured it out sooner. Not much else to say. Tip the hat to Cooper.

I've never cared much for Webb and have always liked Roczen, but man, Webb is a bad motherfucker. He has confidence and a mental toughness that is pretty much unmatched. I doubt he gave the slightest fuck about what happened in the heat race because he knew what was going to happen when it mattered.

Um, no. It ain't the bike. Fitness had nothing to do with it. when the track started changing in the sand, Webb figured out the sand sooner than Ken did. And that's the bottom line. Hand nothing to do with 5 lbs of bike weight. That's ridiculous.

That's bloody amazing being 1 sec slower on last lap on a chewed up track.

This is actually a perfect example of what Kenny needs to STOP thinking about. The minute you have an excuse in your back pocket, you subconsciously relax. (All of us do. It's human nature).

Cooper Webb doesn't do excuses, therefore he doesn't do relaxing. He knows he has one job - win - and he will not find a single reason he CAN'T do it.

Kroc’s supercross tittle will never happen in my opinion, and that’s ok he’s done very well overall.

Not to switch the focus of the subject from Roczen to Tomac, but if you’d have told me at the start of the season that Tomac would be down 41 point at round 12, I’d probably have slapped the tobacco outta your cheek and called you a damn liar. I’d be more interested to hear what Kawi brass is saying to Eli. Not that I really care, I’d just be more interested to hear that than what they are saying to Kenny. In the grand scheme of things, it’s non of my business, so there’s that.

Oh don’t I know it, but having gotten that monkey off his back, would you have ever guessed him being back so far in the points at this stage. Sure he’s been a late starter, but he actually started the season out somewhat decent with a win early on.

Cooper also had the advantage of studying Kenny for the first 3/4 of the race. Kenny could only keep pushing with what he felt were the best lines.

Again however, when push came to shove, the #2 came out on top. And again with his staple, stop at the entry to the corner, and cut underneath move. The same as we saw a few years ago with that last corner pass that got him the win by the slimmest of margins, then again more recently in the last turn at Anaheim I think it was? Cutting underneath at Houston on the last lap, again getting inside of Kenny at Daytona, and obviously on the weekend. Assuming Kenny was expecting to use his whoop speed to block Cooper at the end of the whoops, except with Cooper's shorter line in the corner, he again left the inside open.

And if there was ever an opportunity to rub Cooper up and return the favour, that was it right there, but alas. Heck, Barcia rode Tomac harder for 3rd place.
