With that said, he was right behind Anderson after turn 1 and ahead of AP. Both finished in front of him. The bad start wasn't his only problem. He simply wasn't fast enough

What still blows my mind and i cant get my head around is him and AC are less then 12 months apart. the rivalry growing up together, the way AC come in winning his first pro SX race, dominating webb prior. and now... Webb just turned it all around. lites titles in SX & MX. Des Nations Team rider, 450 SX title.
And now lurking towards another title battle for a possible 2nd championship.
Like seriously.. How does the script flip so much between the two.
Love him or hate him. Webbs proved him self and still gets so much hate.
His personality reminds me of Reed early in his career though. I love it hahahah
And before you down vote.. Im a Kroc and AC fan. I just appreciate Webbs grit and the never give up attitude.
One thing for sure, some of the best finishes and races over the last few years have had him involved. He sure makes watching racing fun (well, Arlington1 was a little boring with the run away).
Couple years ago there was all the talk about the "chip on Webbs shoulder". I don't think it's that at all... he is clearly a driven guy who plays the racing game exceptionally well.
My idea a couple years ago was to have an SX title picture/commercial/ad. Frame this in your mind: Webb sitting under the KTM tent, dirty, sweaty, feet up with the #1 red plated bike behind him. To his side, the SX 450 title trophy.......filled with potato chips. The finishing touch...Webb noticing and then flicking a chip off his shoulder with that trademark smirk.
Still pulling for a KR title...but will be happy to see Webb take his 2nd title if it all plays out that way.
Entitled?
Webb did win in amateurs a lot, and was injured there also.
And AC might not have broken all the records like some might have thought, but he’s delivered a lot also. Three close second place 250sx titles, a national title, and class leading speed in the 450s.
Roczen, needs to gain that Killer Touch.. That webber has.
1. Webb
2. Kenny
3. Elito
Pit Row
I was using it as in "Given" without working for it.
Ur using it by definition...I'm using it as a colloquial term.
I honestly believe Webb would have held the red plate last year but for two reasons. 1. He was sick for the 1st few rounds....2. the gnarly Arlington crash.
When all is said and done, he who has the most points after the final round "deserves" the title.
Plain and simple. If I was betting on it? I think today it will be Cooper Webb. But it's far from over. One spoke explosion or something similar and we are right back at it...
I thought that was a very unique and accurate way of putting it.
The dude is there to win this thing and in every race he does everything he can to get it. Throttle revving coming into turns, acting like he's gonna torpedo you in a turn to scare you into checking up, careful selection of gate pick, always trying to move up and gain every position possible right up to the last corner on the last lap, making sure that if he holeshots he keeps that lead, being sick fast when necessary, fucking up Kenny's race in the first turn when there's an opportunity, and saying/doing things to mentally rape Kenny.
The dude is a nightmare for the rest of them. Especially Kenny. If Webb wins the title, it will have been won using a number of weapons, and well desrverved. If Tomac or Roczen win the title, it will also be well deserved because they had to overcome that relentless, ruthless number 2.
