Akrapovic header... How? Where?

Hey guys
I recently purchased a KTM 450 FE. I tried to order a matching header pipe to the Akrapovic slip on, but the lead times are insane/non existent. I literally just was refunded by a pretty big KTM retailer from an order I placed a month ago. Anyone know where I can get a new or used header from? I hate the look of the stock one. Yes, looks matter to me lol

Not sure what year you got but I am pretty sure I heard in Keefer's podcast you can't get a header for that slipon and will need to purchase a whole new system. I do not own one though so someone may have some better info than me.

Need a full system because the Akro slip on doesn’t work with the Akro header... Look into an HGS full system.

Word on the street is you loose a lot of power when you swap out the stock header...

There’s a different model Akro muffler that does work with the Akro header. The “slip on” can also be purchased for the stock header but will not work with the Akro header.

You guys are right. Can't use the aftermarket header with the slip on! I'll just have to buy a complete system

Ive got one I would make a deal on. I ran into the same issue and sprang for a complete FMF system.

This is a modded stock header that I built that mounts up to a stock muffler or an after market muffler - perhaps the Akro?

It is for sale.......$200.00 needs to have the rear mount ring moved back a skosh. S/S

HGS is good, i'd be surprised if you would be disappointed with it!
