There's a wheel brand here called SM Pro. I emailed them to ask about fitting older shape wheels to my 20 and they said they sell a fitting kit that converts the front wheel to fit. Not sure if Talon and other brands do though, but worth an ask

I converted a pre-2019 wheel to fit the 19-21's. Required bearings, seals and the spacer between the bearings. It fits and it works, but I wouldn't trust it in a tough situation. I have it setup with a trelleborg winter spike tire so its slower speed riding with no jumps. If I was doing moto or doing a big riding trip, I would not trust it. YMMV, good luck!

Well, it took a few days but I made it all 165 pages. I learned a lot and enjoyed reading about everyone's experiences with the green machines.

One thing that was referenced but I never did get an understanding of is, Renthal Twinwalls. How are you guys setting up your controls with them? Do they all fit?

I've always used TwinWalls, but I've never had a bike with so many buttons lol. Would appreciate an explanation and maybe even a close up photo of how you've set yours up.

I unplugged my launch control and removed it when I had Twinwalls (I never used it for starts anyways). I still wound up going back to Fatbars though. I run the clutch master cylinder super far inward so I'm grabbing near the end of the clutch lever. That setup didn't work on Twinwalls.

Hey nerds, picked up a 21, had a full Hinson in my 19 and absolutely loved it. So my questions is... anyone have any experience with a slipper clutch? Looking at what system to go with and Hinson has a slipper system. Thanks in advance for the info.

I use Renthal 7/8 on all my bikes for that same reason. I run my Brake mount 8 cm in from my grip and clutch 7 cm. I use my Index finger only. I tried to setup the twinwalls, but the control area is only 190 mm. The 7/8 is 203 mm. When mounting the clutch and brake, most riders just put the end of the lever inside the bar end, then adjust up and down. This not only effects the way you grab the lever, but the leverage/distance the lever has to travel. By pulling further out on the lever your engagement is so much faster. After market levers with ratio adjustments help compensate for this. I like my levers with immediate response.

Your chain's way too tight, davidgrip! Should be 48-54mm of slack, measured like this:



48-54mm measured from swingarm to bottom of chain doesn't take into account varying rear sprocket sizes. Need to measure bottom of chain at upper extension, then press down on chain and measure bottom at lower tension (as shown in the photo; easiest with a metric machinist ruler). The way you're measuring is recipe for countershaft bearing failure due to extra stress placed on it...

An easy test with your chain that tight on the stand is to remove the rear shock and lift swingarm through upward rotation; you'll likely have a tight spot midway through, which indicates you need to loosen it up!

A simple method I use after adjusting a chain, pull the bike off the stand and sit on it the here the chain should have a bit of slack but not much and definitely not like a banjo string

Any leads to 'just' a titanium brake tip for the fourfiddy? I generally don't like to change complete aftermarket parts over such as the brake pedal UNLESS I brake it...but I do like the sharper Ti tip that is offered...

This was my intake cam at 65 hours. Exhaust side was fine. I was told to check the screens. But who wants to crack the case to check the screen.

What’s the oil change and filter history on this ? Looks like it hasn’t been getting a lot of oil to the top

Oil changed every 3-5 hrs depending on the track conditions. The bike has ~30hrs on it. I was thinking that it looks rough for the hours. I was wondering if I would need to crack the cases the check that screen.
