From the spec info... "The KX450F’s Digital Fuel Injection (DFI) automatically adjusts to suit track and climate conditions, and offers stable fuel-metering, even when landing from jumps in tough motocross conditions. The DFI system includes a compact and lightweight ECU, a 43 mm throttle body, a lightweight aluminum in-tank fuel pump and an ultra-fine atomizing injector. Set at a 45° angle for ideal mid-range power, the 12-hole injector sprays precise, 60-micron fuel particles for smooth power delivery and accurate engine response throughout the rpm range."

There's no mention of a button, though.

The 450 still uses Kayaba front suspension. Check out the specs on the homepage.

the DFI light is to let you know if somethin spooky is up with the FI system, almost like a diagnostic. Basically the equivalent to a check engine light on your car, but just for the injcetion system.

Either that or it's the boost button that activates nitrous...

I will stick with my 09KX250F... I knew they would not go with EFI this year for the 250F, who would do a total redesign only to do another one when doing EFI.

I rekon the current 250F will have the two year cycle like the 2004/2005 did.

Total redesign next year depending on how many 250F's are EFI for 2010.

Well, if Kawi gets rid of the 85, there will be absolutely no reason to visit a Kawi dealer, just as there is no new Honda that I'll consider buying.

Did they decide to not put fuel injection on the 250? There was no mention of it in the specs. I thought the rumors had it being FI for 2010.

I wonder it they felt in the current economy it was not worth it to retool the production line for a FI 250 just yet?
