This is my first frame up build I have ever done. Really happy with how the bike turned out. I bought the bike in 2019 for $500 with a hole in the case. The chain and bearings were so shot the bike barley rolled. I have replaced pretty much everything on the bike or had it vapor blasted. Bolt motorcycle Hardware kit really helped put the build together! New wheels etc. Bike has 2003 CR250R forks and a 1996 CR250R rear shock along with a denton engineering linkage.

Very nice job! I have a 1995 CR250 here in the build section as well. It has been a fun project. I am building new wheels now with excel rims and spokes.

Beautiful bike. Great job.
His run on the mid and early Honda’s CRs made such a lasting impression unlike much else. That one year must have the very most individual tributes.
It’s tough not to do one myself with a 95. But to make it right suggests greater expense.

Awesome end result.

I ran a 2006 top clamp with a 96 bottom clamp.

Thank you, the build was mainly inspired by Terrafirma 2 so I knew i had to build that bike! Pretty cool to even have it signed by the King himself!

Turning out very nice! I just started to rebuild a 1994, I stripped it today. It’s gonna be the 94 replica.

Bike looks great. Love that generation of Honda. Would love to find a 125 from that era. One of my favorite bikes I have ever ridden.

Did you make a bracket to put the front plate on?

I did, its a little funky but it works. Here is a pic of what I did. I used the clip that you slid onto the radiators to bolt the shroud to it and a little L bracket I had laying around.

Yup! I’ve got about one hour on it. Still got some things to adjust.

You put 250f forks on the bike. Did you use the original front hub and brake caliper?

They’re 2003 CR250R forks with 03 caliper. It’s an 06 front hub but I do believe 95+ front hubs work. Can’t remember exactly.

Thanks! I guess it depends on the size of the axle.
