Pourcel has won the first moto in every race but doesn't seem to have the same fire in the second motos. I understand he has to take some medicine for his back that upsets his stomach - what a shame. I'm not sure if Dungey has enough pure speed to beat Christophe. He's the new JMB.

Why do you say that?

Knuckle,

CP really impressed me yesterday. I don't think he's as fast as Dungey though. Dungey reminds me alot of RC. Tons of determination. He rides just as hard on lap 15 as he does on lap 1.

I think the reason CP keeps winning the first moto is purely because RD is getting crappy starts. If they both started top 3, I feel RD would win. Pourcel is fast enough though that if he gets the start and Dungey isn't top 3-5, Ryan would have a difficult time catching him.

that's a tough call. Not sure how it would play out. They are both very fast.

Sometimes speed isn't enough. What medicine does Pourcel take anyway? And why? No other way?

jabir- not sure,
CP's past injuries were extensive, and he was likely to not race again at one point in time? .maybe related? maybe not.

Check the laptimes...

He is typicaly faster than anyone in Moto 1 (including the 450 pack minus Alessi ?) and significantly slower than his previous pace, right away in moto 2 (regardless of his start).

CP can't absorb food and store energy as he should, that's why he has been down in every moto 2 so far (that was'nt affecting him -as bad- while racing SX).

He'll be in France next week to get this checked by the specialist he's seen since his injury.

Hopefully that'll help him.

Whoever said "tell him we're running 2 motos here" has no clue what he's talking about.

Considering what he's been thru and still suffers, what Pourcel is showing right now is a mix of JMB's performances and Doug Henry's phenomenal will to come back after major injuries.

He deserves the ultimate respect from the true moto fans.

He has it from me my friend. Nothing but respect but I do pull for Dungey (call it home team). But if 377 wins it then he earned it and I''ll surely salute his effort!!

That is why it's very commendable he is even racing the outdoors. as far as sx i think he has that intangible spirit and talent that will be hard to match in sx anytime soon

If you notice, he wins the first motos when he gets good starts. At G.H. and Texas both starts were outside the top 10.

When he gets a bad start he cant spend energy the way Dungey can, so he has to be patient and smooth and try to use as little energy as possible. His body doesnt absorb the fuel from food like it should.

Another thing you should know abouit him, he still has no feeling and partial paralysis in parts of his mid section. He is a tough kid for sure.

Even though he's a foreigner in a US series, it's hard for me not to root for him (at least a little) after all that he has endured.
