From what my dealer told me yesterday, all RX's are sold out from the warehouse. What is available at the dealers is it for this year.

(damn was hoping I'd be in the background of a few clips screaming and hooting during all the filming loops)
What track was the testing done at? How did the bike and tester's look to you on the track?

According to Google this thing is 4lbs lighter than a 300xc and 7lbs heavier than a YZ 250.

Not bad.

Some dealers ordered them for stock, they were not all retail pre-sold to my knowledge? The dealers have not received them yet, first shipment in the next few weeks and Another in the spring. Email Beta and they may be able to point you in the right direction?

Specs are 217 dry, Not sure how that compares since it is dry. It does have electric start and six speed and spring forks. KTM 250 shows 222 curb weight and YZ 250 shows 227 wet.
Not sure about any of these engines having lighting coils?

It is a US only model, for this model year at least. The rumor is if this goes well we can expect four strokes soon.

Testing was done at Cahuilla Creek MX in Anza CA. Siebs is an old buddy and we ride MX together often enough... so I know how he goes Smile He looked comfy on it. It was very windy that day due to Santa Ana winds coming in and myself and a few of the other guys riding all felt 'off' but he was flowing around fine doing the thing, so had to feel good on the bike. By the time I was warmed up and getting my motos in the lads were busy doing the video shots so we didn't get to spin any laps together this time.

Talking in the pits was much of what he said in the video (so the off the record comments weren't all that different from the polished review comments). I mainly asked about the suspension (Sachs rear) and the 300 engine kit and how it differs from the 250 2st I ride. Both of which are covered in depth in the vid.

Nice to see another 2st motocross option on the market.

Since they're sold out...

I'm thinking EC 300 that I'll make a MC 300 kit for!

Silly

I'm thinking $10K all in including the 19" rear wheel!

This is correct. My dealers RX is not spoken for (Magnolia, Tx). He said he should have it in the next 1-2 weeks.

Yes Kawasaki Suzuki Yamaha are so much more natural to roll off of the tongue lol.

Only because you’re used to them.

What we really need to see is how it stacks up against a YZ250, SX250, TC250 and a TM300. Because until some real world testing and shootouts come in it’s just a Beta 300 Enduro bike with KYB, 19 inch wheel and no lights.

We already know how it will stack up.

Ktm will win
Yz close second because of the infamous sss suspension
Tm and beta a distant tied for 3rd despite making more power, more updates, better brakes etc etc

Mxa won’t like the grips and vital won’t ride it more than an hour anyway.

The small brands never get a fair shake.
See vitals 450 off road shootout where tm makes MASSIVE more power over all other brands and gets last while also being the lightest.
And dirtbike did a 125cc shootout where the tm got last despite making more power than ktm and yz. Somehow a 2018 tm125mx isn’t better than a 2006 yz125 in mags eyes.

It’s incredible.
It may make more power and be better on paper ect but how the bike is to ride is actually what matters. Not saying you're wrong about the bikes actually being better and the reviews bias but it seems us moto heads lose sight of that.

Saw a couple of pimped 2021 Beta 200’s at Spoaks yesterday. Wish I was a rich man..

The Race Edition has Lucky’s in the KYB’s and an MXTech National shock!

I think it's a great looking bike. And it will get more refined as they develop more.

Here's to hoping a Beta 125 RX is in the cards for next year.
