What is everyone doing for s gear cabinet? I want to put one in my garage to house several helmets, pairs of boots, and riding gear. What do you guys do?

Not looking for anything too crazy, just somewhere to store gear aside from a closet in the house ๐Ÿ‘

I use one of my kids old dressers and some spare wire shelves I had lying around. Also check out local cabinet shops getting rid of old stock, demo stuff or blems.

New Age Products Bold 3.0 Series. I wanted these cabinets before I even owned a house! Still playing around with what goes where, but am satisfied with them.

I just wash the stuff and then put it back in the gear bag.

I have 2 of these same cabinets, plus 2 smaller ones about half size of these in my shop for gear, parts, cleaning supplies, etc. they work great and can be configured many different ways with the adjustable shelves.

Me too. The gearbag stays in the closet in the master bedroom. Can't let the wife have ALL the space...

Good tip here. These cabinets are made and sold by companies that make file cabinets (the construction feels the same too) and are pretty common in a lot of offices. A lot of companies during moves or equipment upgrades will give them to you for free if you can move them off-site because it saves them having to pay someone to retrieve and dispose.

That black cabinet is the thin floppy not well built like you are taking about, I agree they arenโ€™t very good. But that tan one I use for gear came a guy close to a military base, itโ€™s a solid unit! Thick metal, fully boxed doors and floor. Got both for $20 each. Iโ€™d pay good money if I could find on other one like the tan one.

I just leave the gearbag in the back seat of my truck, that way I don't forget anything....That cabinet Zseiger posted is cool, my OCD isn't that bad yet!
