I fractured my right one and tore ligaments and cartiledge in the process, but that was 40+ years ago before orthroscopic surgery and all. Bummer deal for MA. Looked like he could have mailed the championship in.

It just depends on whether the fracture is complete and where on the patella it is. If it needs to be reduced via surgery look for MA in Vegas. If its a non displaced "sleeve fracture" it is possible, although remote, this weekend...

Not a worry, it was difficult to see the ? in the quotes. I am pissed for Alessi, hate it when riders get hurt. I know too many guys my age that are whining about their aches and pains. And most of them weren't hurt that bad. The speed these guys are going now and the carrying it to the end of Moto2 means more of this.

This sucks for Alessi but it looked like he was going to run away with the series. Now it's wide open for 4-5 guys to duke it out for the championship. Racing is always best when you don't know who is going to win.

The biggest loser in the deal is Reed. Now he will have to deal with more shit than ever about being handed a championship. (If he wins it) At least Mike can know he had things under control until the injury.
