This year, the Racing range welcomes a new addition: the 200cc. The complete range now counts 8 models: 125, 200, 250, 300 cc 2T (2-stroke) and 350, 390, 430 and 480 cc 4T (4-stroke).

The new RR Racing MY 2021 has, in fact, all the same features that have enabled Steve Holcombe and Brad Freeman to dominate the World Enduro circuit over the last few years, winning several titles in succession.
Compared to the respective standard versions, the RR Racing MY 2021 range stands out on account of:

Suspension

Kayaba AOS forks with closed ø 48 mm cartridge: these new KYB spring forks feature a closed-cartridge design and are renowned worldwide for being top-of-the-range. Close collaboration between Beta and Kayaba has created a bespoke product which features a new fork shoe design and a unique calibration reserved for the RR models. Also, the presence of anodized internal components minimizes sliding friction, whilst the customary compression and release adjusters allow easy attainment of optimum settings at all times. Therefore, Kayaba forks ensure excellent operation under all usage conditions, being ultra-reliable, and easy to tune.
ZF ø 46 mm shock absorber with new calibration: this newly refined set-up lets riders make the absolute most of the new chassis.
Black anodized triple clamp.
Premix

In response to riders who are always looking for lighter motorbikes, Beta R&D department has once again decided to dispense with the automatic mixer in order to reduce the bike weight as much as possible. The 2-stroke RR Racing MY 2021 machines run on oil/gas premix, thus honing the racing pedigree of this version. The oil mix can be installed as an after-market accessory (art. 040.46.002.82.00), at a reasonable price and labor time.

Special components

Quick release front wheel pin: essential for saving precious seconds during a race, this device speeds up tire repairs.
Vertigo hand guards: solidity, eye-catching design and In-Mold graphics make this accessory indispensable for off-road riding.
Metzeler Six Days tires: for confident off-road riding. It’s no coincidence that these tires are the most widely used in top-level Enduro competitions and by multiple world champion Steve Holcombe.
Black Ergal footrests: with a broad contact surface and steel pegs to ensure optimum grip under all conditions. A robust yet lightweight structure means these footrests also have a longer lifespan.
Rear sprocket with anodized aluminum core and steel teeth: a perfect combination of lightness and durability.
Red Ergal chain tensioner blocks.
Racing seat with document pocket.
Black anodized shift/brake levers.
Transmission oil cap, engine oil cap and oil filter cap in red anodized aluminum.
Racing graphics and red rim stickers.
New battery charging system: more efficient and reliable (4-stroke only).
New expansion chamber: improves performance across the entire power curve, especially at high revs where it boosts acceleration (125 2-stroke only).

(The info below was not in the press release for RE models, however was in the RR release. They are typically the same updates, it may have been a press release omission? The seat is clearly visible.)

The 2021 updates in a nutshell
Updated chassis in the steering head area and in the reinforced plates behind the head stock for improved feel and durability.
Improved rear subframe, more robust and durable.
New side-panel mounting, for easier installation.
Updated fuel tank cap for improved mounting.
Renewed seat improved on both the base plate and with new foam providing better support for a more comfortable ride.
“Optimization” of the air box for improved waterproofing plus a new mounting of the side panel which is designed to be easier to use.
New electrical system improves charging efficiency. 4t only.
Upgrade of numerous internal components of the KYB fork to improve fluidity and reliability.
New shock absorber setting to increase traction.
Updated speedometer giving better reliability and precision.
New graphics.

I always feel like they are trying too hard by such a busy graphics scheme stock with all the logos etc.

Agreed. I peeled most of that off of mine. (not in molded).

Bad News. My dealer couldn't order a bike for me 2 hours ago. RE's apparently sold out at the distributorship by dealers for this container! He had ordered 5 bikes for stock (remember Beta has no floorplan so in many cases this is cash outlay) and went back in and said no more except 430 at that moment. All had previously displayed shipping dates and anything you order now has no shipping date so likely next load. Damn these things are warm. Time to find a dealer that took a 480 RE. Wasn't quite ready to get out the wallet, but didn't expect this.

So what exactly is different between the 2020 and 2021 300 RE?

200 and 300, perfect. As long as bore/stroke correct for cc, not just 'bored' version of smaller motor.

Just a quick glance at their service manuals shows bore and stroke increase compared to the 125. They haven't uploaded the 2021 specs yet, but I would think they're the same (except for the new 2021 300RX (MX model) which I read will have higher compression at 12.9:1).

Sachs I believe. I priced a 300 RE today. $10,300 OTD. I can get a 2021 TX 300 for $9400 OTD. Guess I'm going husky again.

Kissell? They are one of the biggest. Hard to imagine big discounts will be happening.

Sachs (Sash) ZF still. It went from 50mm to 46 a few years back. One of the best stock shocks on the dyno, and they wear well. Plenty of available upgrades.

The 200 was released last year, only as an RR model not an RE. It is a dedicated engine, not morphed from another bike, also shares the chassis with the 125 which is smaller. Plenty of reviews and one of the fastest sellers.
One of the most active East Coast dealers took 3 200's only.

It's listed in the OP. Weakly worded release appears to suggest changes to the KYB valving and internal coatings. The decal reads Beta instead of Racing. Another list of changes is suspected (by me) but not spelled out. The list included an upgraded seat which is evident in the photo's so one could assume all the changes on the list apply.

Yep. I just can't justify another $1000 over the husky when it isn't FI. I'll be buying the Husky in the spring then hold off 2-3 years before considering a beta again. Hppefully by then they'll get with the times and put FI on their 300s.
