Does anyone remember that YZ concept bike with the aluminum perimeter frame and I think countershaft disc brake that appeared in the early 90's? Thinking MXA or Dirt Rider, but may have even been one of the general mags like Cycle World or Motor Cyclist. Wild looking bike, that in all reality wasn't that far off of the mark.

Was the fork color the main difference in the two? I only ask because I got a used 250 when I was 12, but was told it was an 89. Didn't have red fork though.

The '89s had silver upper fork tubes and the '90s had red. A few other differences: the seat cover ('89 just had Yamaha logos, '90 also had white speed blocks), the handlebars ('89 had gold handlebars, '90 had red), the fork guards ('89 only protected the front of the fork tubes, '90 had the more modern wrap-around style), the 250 radiator shrouds (updated design on the '90 that was used through '92), and the front number plate (red background on white plastic in '89, plain white plastic in '90).

97 Noleen Jeff Wiloh,s National bike. I changed the plastics, NCY graphics, smashed the Noleen pipe, Bill,s on it here. I pretty good at putting seat covers on, this 1 was impossible with out wrinkles.
