Since almost anything you see online lately is negative or about politics. I wanted to start a forum of some of the best stories you guys have related to motocross. Can be funny, serious, an accomplishment, (another J-Law story?), or anything that comes to mind.

Lets make this thread deliver.

Christophe Pourcel becoming world champion. Then paralyzed and came back to win a few Lites SX titles

Bogle having a huge crash in SX pre-season and coming back to having the 2014 SX East title

Cianciarulo after years of injuries, setbacks and broken dreams winning the outdoor 250 title last year.

Roczen back to winning speed after his ridiculously heavy arm injuries

Tomac coming back to being a 4-time outdoor champion after that double shoulder dislocation. Then takes redemption after being 7 years(!) into the 450 class and taking that well deserved title.

Herlings winning the 2016 title after those two heavy years. And his 2018 title dominance (even with a collarbone fracture)

Jeremy Martin his comeback after nearly losing his career with a broken back..

The list goes on and on.

Chad Reed proving everyone wrong when he started his team in 2011. Back to winning state in 2013 with the Kawasaki. Etc etc.

These are a few examples of crazy comebacks from injuries and setbacks. That’s why I can’t understand how some people are so unbelievable negative against some riders and their teams. Hope this makes your day hahaGrinning

Ha biggest scam in recent history. He was no where near as bad off as he claimed.
I would say Doug Henry, Pourcel or maybe Zach Osborne.

Zach Osborne.

Decent as an Amateur, didnt make the grade as a pro, got spat out of the system and came to the UK, rebuilt, rode anything he could , raced our local series, was lucky enough to commentate on him at one of our Masters events, and then goes back, puts in the hard yards again, wins in SX and now 450 points leader... how many guys have bailed after getting knocked back, like he did , and are looking at him thinking ' that could have been me' .

There was an awesome one I heard recently but can’t recall which podcast it was. It was about Tim Ferry and his dad when they were growing up and racing 125s. If someone can point me to it, that would be great!

The basic summary was, they were broke and needed money to pay their mortgage and they needed Timmy to win some local race that weekend to bring in some cash. Some drug dealers stole the bike in the middle of the night and Tim’s dad searched and stalked them all day, tracking the bike down. I believe he tackled the guy that was riding it and ripped home on it, all while his buddies got left behind and beat to piss by the drug dealers and such. I believe they then took that bike to a few wins that weekend. I’m butchering this story but it’s one for the books. Hopefully some can expand on this or point me to that podcast.

Anything that you can bench race with your buddies about years afterwards, that starts with "remember that day/time/weekend when..."

At the moment it’s the HVAC guy that scored a 10th last weekend.
